The problem for me is how bulky the digital core is. If they found a way to make it more subtle, I'd use it, but as it stands it's too bulky.

Thank you for the review, it arrived today and I love it ❤️, I just have one detail. For that high price, the manufacturer could have added a USB dust cover. So I bought it separately. I wish everyone a merry Christmas, Radovan from Czech republic ❤

The stethoscope also serves to listen to lungs, abdomen and more like a normal stethoscope like the Littmann classic or is it only for heart sounds? I’m confused, sorry haha

I think it's pretty incredible, but I am a humble M2, for what that's worth. And you have to keep in mind that you just flip the button over and you've got yourself a regular cardiology IV, right? My college roommate sent me the CORE when I started M1, I think he got it for free in a promotion. I have to say, the clarity and amplification of the sound is almost TOO good, you end up feeling like you're missing out on the challenge when you're learning stuff. But then in the preceptor's clinic when I feel like I want to just get the best objective readings, sure enough, I always flip the switch back on. I showed it to a professor of cardiology, he poo pooed a little bit, or rather said that he preferred the nuance of the unamplified, un-cleaned up sound. Again, you can just flip it off if you want. I suppose if you're a cardiologist or just want really consistent results in clinic, you should always use the same one. I see other comments talking about how useful it is in a trauma bay, though, that is hard to argue with.

I just wonder if the stand alone module will work seamlessly w my Master Cardio steth which I will not part with

Hi, I have a few questions. It is normal for my EkoCore battery to go from 99% to 74% in 3 days even if the device is turned off? The other time I fully charged the device and didn't used it in a week. Next time I wanted it to use it, it was completely discharged. Is that normal? Or do I have a defective device?.

Im a new firefighter/ems provider with the Memphis Fire department. Currently i use analog when on medical calls but im often unsure about what I’m hearing and what it means. Im buying because id like to be more confident about what I’m hearing. Subsequently if i still don’t gain that confidence I’ll at least have the ability to save the sound/cardio activity for my emt instructor to provide clarification. Im all for ground breaking tech integration so im excited about mine arriving in the mail

Have used the littmann 3200, for years, the electronic stethoscope is a must have in noisy environments, the core is a really nice upgrade, only missing the screen that had a lot of functions without needing the phone, like seeing the heart frequency, and recording sounds

I’ve been using the Littmann electronic stheths since they were born and have been blown away by the quality and durability of the 3200! Now that it’s time for a new one due to the tubing splitting after 11 years of use!!! Best $500 I ever spent by the way. But now I’m looking into the eko and I’m reluctant because it seems so different than the 3200 or 3100. And is the new eko 500 better than the core? I’m so anxious about making the choice as I depend on my 3200 to be my ears every day! I have mild hearing loss and difficulties but the 3200 has made it possible for me to perform pt assessment (lungs, heart, bowels) and still be able to use it to check a BP. And I can record on the 3200. And I love the ability to adjust the volume. I’d appreciate any tips on which steth would be best for me. Thanks so much!

Hello !! I have seen a few videos about this scope but I trust my ER Doctors opinions more than the average person’s. So. I currently work as an EMT Intermediate in Detroit. I will be starting the Paramedic Academy in the fall and then on to Critical Care Paramedic after that. My current scope in a Littmann Cardiology IV which has been amazing. It’s taken a bit of a beating along the way so I was thinking of buying a new scope. This appears to be an amazing option, but I just wanted your opinion/clarity on a couple of things, considering the cost. First, would you as an ER Doctor recommended this particular scope for someone in my situation ?? Secondly. Is the Core Piece made of plastic or more of a metal ?? And lastly. Is there an additional cost for the software/App ?? As learning lung sounds and so on will be important for me moving forward. What are your thoughts ?? Thank you so much for your thoughts and suggestions. I appreciate your time and your service !!

Hey, like the video. My question is, I’m a new comer EMT , and I have a little hard of hearing. From right now, I can barely hear an heart beat from the normal stethoscope. My question is, will this stethoscope help me to hear better while I’m in the field doing an blood pressure.

I have been using this Eko core with Lit Stethoscope chest piece since 2020. It amplifies sound clearly as everyone said. But my problem with the device is the threaded piece that keeps loosing at both ends of the device. I have to lock it back in place before each use and I'm always afraid that I may lose my chest piece one day. It's very annoying. I just ordered the new Eko Core 500. Will see how that goes.

Thanks for the review. I am a new grad RN and got a job on a cardiac unit. I can hear my patients lungs and bowel sound, but OMG! I can’t hear their heart sounds with a regular Littmann stethoscope. 😱 I know one came in for atrial flutter and the other was A-Fib. My current stethoscope work well during school simulation and at acute care/med-surg clinical. So I pray this will be my new friend.

Thank you for this review. I'm a retired Combat Medic with hearing loss and still do a little part time in EMS. Was considering this to link to my Bluetooth hearing aids. Your video convinced me to order one, if nothing else they offer a 75 day trial with refund if it doesn't work out for you, as long as you PASS on that free engraving. So I'll try it and if I keep it I can always pay a few more bucks to get it engraved if I want. Thanks again Doc.

About grading a murmur you can just first hear and identify murmur with its switch on mode then switch it off this will turn into unamplified mode then you can simply grade if you want.

Are the ear buds on this model designed the same as other Littman buds? I only wonder because I’m due to start training as a paramedic and I wear hearing aids. This sounds like it would really help me by amplifying softer sounds that I may struggle to hear otherwise. I may not get a complete seal due to the thin tube extending from my hearing aid but I’d like to think that I’d still benefit from the amplified sound. As an emergency responder it won’t be ideal or sanitary to keep taking my hearing aids out 😂

I’m an Army Combat medic and I’ve used this device before a few times. It’s very helpful to have the noise cancelling as I’m often treating patients in loud environments such as moving trucks and tracked vehicles. Also being able to identify and record more difficult sounds (epigastric sounds etc) is great for teaching junior medics what to listen for. Don’t have my own yet but definitely plan on it. Also the video is very well put together thanks for sharing this content.

Just received one after finishing my critical care program. We had an awesome class about the use of stethoscopes, especially on heart sounds. The phono cardiograph alone was an excellent reason to change to digital. The sound quality is great. I look forward to increasing knowledge on this device. I feel if the technology is there…. We should use it.
