Firstly, thank you for your videos,
I had a working installation before following your tutorial, but 2 months ago i was the victim of a ransomware attack, and i had to erase and re install most of my things ( my media and important stuff were backed up)
I have a problem with my installation this time. I hope you can help me.

I have the same problem as a few people in the comments!, only the hassio_supervisor container pops up in docker after the install... ds220+ dsm6.2 + ? when i try to close the app in the package center, i get a failed to stop error... i already tried to reinstall i even docker system prune -a and reinstalled... same thing... any suggestions?

Not sure what I did wrong.

Found that this version is not really stable (after 6 months of usage!!!). Reverted back to the basic version. How long more will this be in beta? I mean, well over a year on beta shows the lack of robustness...

Hi Bearded Tinker,
The instructions don't work for me. I had Synology running in docker which I disabled for the installation. After the installation, it seems that the additional 3 docker containers are not created.

I was trying to install Hassio Supervised using the official* docker images (*I think), with no luck, I was getting just homeassistant-core. So I came across this video, I will give it a try!!!
I still wonder though, isn't there any way to set up and run homeassistant using the provided dockers? What more does the package, do?

I followed your good tutorial a couple of months ago and everything worked fine even the updates. However, the recent one from 0.118.4 to 0.118.5 is not working for me. I receive the message update failed unknown error, see supervisor. Supervisor is shown as an unsupported installation with version 2020.12.6. Any idea how to solve this?

Thank you for these videos.
I am very frustrated and have a new Synlogy DS1520+ NAS and the most important thing to me is the Home Assistant feature. I followed your guide and have tried 3 times starting over from scratch (formatted discs) each time. Something is wrong with the Supervisor and I'm unable to install add-ons due to running in "an unhealthy state". I'm running version 2020.12.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I followed the instructions in this video some months ago and it worked without any errors - it was wonderful. As it always happens, I crashed my instance of Hassio on Synology and thougt:ok, nevermind, i can do it again. But no. I uninstalled the crashed version, deleted everything, even uninstalled docker and then followed your instructions again. Home assistant and all the dockers show up and it installs pretty slowly. Then, after some 20 minutes, I can enter the hassio-frontend and everything LOOKS fine, but it isnt. The supervisor wont let me install any add-on or core-update. It says "unknown error - see supervisor". in the logs of the supervisor it then says: WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.jobs] 'HomeAssistantCore.update' blocked from execution, system is not healthy. How is my system unhealthy and how could I "cure" it? I have no other docker and no other instances of any hassio-component running. And the strangest thing for me: it worked before. I changed nothing. Can you suggest something with that?

Your video’s are very useful. They helped me a lot, thanks for that. If I may ask for a topic, I would really appreciate a video on how to add “unsupported devices” to Zigbee2MQTT in docker on the Synology NAS. This is still my nightmare.

Thanks for the awesome tutorial! How has your beta testing been going so far? I'm in the process of picking my hardware for HA for my new home, and not sure if I should go with a NAS or NUC. There seems to be more tutorials and post for NUC(i3-i5), but if NAS has its pros as well.(This install looked incredibly easy) I would like to run blue Iris, red node and all the other goodies eventually and have as much possible hooked into HA. Do you have a recommendation one way or the other? (Btw never owned/used a NAS before, but looks straight forward) thanks!

I tried this installation on my DS918+.
In Docker I see only 1 container , the hassio_supervisor, after the installation is complete. I cannot connect to port 8123. Is there something wrong with the package?
Thank you for your support

When/if the Supervisor screen comes up blank and you get an associated error regarding entrypoint.js, don't panic, don't tinker. Just go back to the syno package centre and stop / restart the package. Came up as per the video after restart. There is another work-around on the project page, but was not required for me.

Hassio , installation this method causes upgrade issues , when there is a new release from HA OEM , and by mistake you upgrade , it will crash the Hass IO , you need to wait for fredrick to release his own version , hence keep this in mind.

Hello! Really appreciate your videos, and as you seem pretty active on here, thought I might be able to ask a question as I've followed your videos to get the hang of Home Assistant and I hope it's not too dumb! I'm new to pretty much all of this (don't know anything about code) and am learning on the fly. My issue right now involves the Nortek HUSBSZ stick in my Synology DS218+ running the Hassio Native Package installed from watching this video. The goal is to get away from the SmartThings Hub so that I can use a sensor locally. For the life of me, I can't get either Zigbee or Zwave to work. I'm following a guide and it says to "add the following to your run command" to map the devices in the container. I can't figure out what that means or how to do it. The command is along the lines of "--device /dev/ttyUSB0:/zwaveusbstick" After following the setup in this video, do you know how or where I would put that code? I do have Portainer!

Hello Bearded, thankyou for having your videos online. I never worked with Docker containers before and am struggling a bit (a lot actually). My problem is that I can't get home assistant running. I have downloaded ilike you told in the video. Silly question: I just have to click it in Container? Nothing happens, no spinning wheel and no login screen. I must be doing something wrong but can't figure out (after 4 hours) what it is. After you finshed laughing (I would if I were you), could you please help me out here?
