GMiner & lolMiner LHR ETH Unlock?? (Low Power?) Tested with RTX 3060

What do you think of the strange power consumption on GMiner? Did you get lolMiner unlock to work with the proper Drivers? This is all still quite new, so let me know!!

have you evern been able to get lolminer LHR to unlock ? i'm trying to mine eth+ton on windows and it doesnt detect my 3080 lhr as one. tyvm !

You should try nbminer 39.2. My 3080 ftw3 lhr is getting 69mh@223w wattage is checked in hardware monitor. No need to put lhr 68 or anything like that. My cclk is -165, mclk is +1525, PL59 driver 471.41. I’m pretty sure I have a recent lhr card, just got it last week and last two of serial# is marked KL.

I just installed an RTX3060 LHR on a rig with 4 other RTX3080's NON lhr cards. Using Lolminer, I set it to --lhrtune -20 and was at 25.6 Mh/s. I used --mode LHR2 and it increased to about 33.5 Mh/s, but it dropped my 3080's down to around 65 Mh/s that were otherwise a hair over 100. is there a way to isolate the 3060 on the same rig that anyone has tried?

I see fluctuations in power for my 3070 lhr with Gminer. 80-120W

With Gminer v2.67, I have one Gigabyte RTX3060 LHR and one EVGA RTX3060 LHR, both them run with 34.x MH/s when I set memory clock to 8800. no change on GPU clock. I guess if you can try to set memory clock to 8800MHz or higher then to see if can get 34.x MH/s?

BTW, they run over 24 hours without hash rate drop.

Couple things I noticed. I don't see you locking your frequency. Second thing is on these types of cards when you open them up they are going to want more core voltage. I believe it's a combination of both that's causing that bobbing. If the frequency is bouncing it's pulling power to compensate and it's porpoising up and down. That's really bad. I'd be in fear of bricking the damn card. I'd start core voltage at +5 and increase little by little to a max of +15. I'd use others setting for previous non-LHR cards as a benchmark also. What you normally do for settings are irrelevant. These cards are power-hogs and not worth running RVN or ETH on. ~170w Is the best I can tweak them to. I have a pair of rx6700rt AMDs running 80mH with boosts on 2miners upto 120mH+! At a total ~220 w at combined both at ~ 63C. Moreover, I'm not a fan of either miner software. I have found Trex rules on these LHR cards. Word is Nicehash has opened these LHR cards up. These cards are great for SHIB and FLUX. I'll be working on tests with NANO, SOL & GAS this weekend as a couple pay points hit I'll switch over and test them. Great review. I personally don't really want to fiddle with them for ETH. I can't seem to figure out why I keep seeing ETH estimates so high. I earning way more tuning and tweaking on other coins. Good luck. Great vid!

Ya couldn't get gminer running with the lhr argument..I typed it exactly the way it described in the os update info tab and nothing...back on nb miner getting 33mh at 110w so I'm happy with that..Gminer has .65 dev fee though so, have to consider that as well

It looked like the l in lhr was actually the number 1, tried every possible combination, no dice

Nbminer seems a little more simple and better built. Ima stick with them till something better happens

After 1 day test I got on my 3060ti:
Core 0 Mem 1600 PL 135 LHR2 +11 = 41.2mhs
The Mem crashes at 1900+....

I did try this on my 3060ti LHR V2, did get the same result as you did.
I also did try it on windows.

I'm super glad others are working on LHR unlocks too, it gives the miner more options. Pretty soon they may even have a full unlock! Great video, thanks for the update

Think your going to have to change drivers for lolminer. They specified those versions for a reason. Could you try one of your 3060TIs, do you have a lhr2?

Hwy dude you got the --lhrtune part wrong. Lets say you started with --lhrtune -20 and you want to increase it by 5 then it would go -15 not -25. I think that makes better sense.

NBMiner and Bminer have added LHR unlock, too.

I got 35 mh on lol miner but my 1660s on the same rig as my 3060 dropped to 24 mhs and I did see an increase in power consumption but nowhere near what yours were, i switched back to trex til I figure it out... haven't tried gminer yet, was why I was watching your vid to see it's performance..I'll try it later today and post my results in the comments

Good video, I expected this when I saw that there was an update in HiveOS and LHR appeared in both miners, although it was not a great performance, in Gminer it was possible to lower the consumption, although in a not so correct way, I noticed that when you lowered the power limit the maximum range decreased, maybe there he gets an average and it is those 126w that he mentions, hopefully later they will correct this little by little, since I prefer to leave my 2060 with better efficiency than my 3060ti LHR

LolMiner stated most tests were performed on GNU/Linux and Drivers on GNU/Linux are not handled the same way like on Windows, so i think you should have downgraded your drivers on Windows to the specific required drivers :)
I used LolMiner in the past for mining BEAM, ETC and later on ERGO, it's a very good mining software, i'm happy to see them keep delivering new features!
