What they don't tell you is, don't just check the volts and hertz at the doorbell. I checked mine before buying the doorbell and I got 11 volts at 60hz. The ring camera says 10-24v is enough, it's not. For some reason it just wouldn't work with my existing transformer, of course I had to buy their transformer for some reason. Even though mine put out what's supposed to be the acceptable volts.

What if I don't want my current chimes disable. Do I have to disable them???

Great video!! I installed mine about a week ago and last night around 1127 it lost power… and clues as to what’s going on?

Why does it disable the house chime? I have my doorbell 2 connected to the hardwire with the battery and the house chime still works i never used the ring plug in chime

suppose i want to install this doorbell on the side of the house, not the front..do i still install the jumper cable
the same way? front/trans? or suppose i want to install 2 of these doorbells, one for the front and one for the
side, how would the jumper cable be installed then?

So is that mean I need to install the transformer

But where should I install it I removed the old chime now and old doorbell 220v

Thanks for this. I'm upgrading from two blink doorbells that keep failing. The customer support keeps telling me it's my issue and that I need an electrician but I'm not an idiot and the voltage is stable and within range. I hear Ring's support is amazing and they have human monitoring once I get the expanded system.
