Fuzz Face before or after Wah Pedal? Tips on how to make it work like Hendrix and Frusciante

I have a brand new fuzz and wah and just got a marshall half stack but for some reason I can get my wah to work or my fuzz and I don't know why. They just turn off and on the sound its annoying me.

you need to put a buffer pedal between them or mod your wah to have a buffer in it

Hendrix definitely used the wah before the Fuzz Face. That's how I've gotten a good sound (after I saw Jimi's setup in films). Maybe cut back or remove all the reverb when going for that sound.

What you need ... is a "fuzz friendly" wah (in that if you use an older fuzz circuit (like a fuzz face) and go from this wah into that type of fuzz....you'll get the dreaded feedback/oscillation that you get with many wahs Some wahs nowadays (Geoffrey Teese etc etc. are what is called "Fuzz friendly" meaning you can run the wah into a fuzz face and it will not squeal/misbehave and still give nice full wah sound (some of my wahs in the past have had to be modded with the "Foxrox" wah retro kit (that changes the impedance so it will work with old fuzz faces
