How To Factory Reset Nest

Nope. It didn't work. I need to change the pin number . Nobody knows how to do it. Not even the people who installed it. The app instructions don't work, either.

I moved into a new house landlord doesn’t know password old tenant changed it can’t even get to settings my house has no heat and I got 2 kids

But when it’s stuck in no power mode you can’t do anything. Thing is junk. Don’t understand why they need to make this so difficult. Bring me back to the 90s

Our thermostat is locked, impossible even to click on these settings

This only works if you can get to settings. But what if there is a pincode on it?

Product is garbage. Smart thermostat was a horrible purchase. We have had ours a little over a year and it breaks every few months. Wish we never got it.

I moved in to my new house , Nest Thermostat was working just fine at 72 , keeping in mind I live like 30 mints away from Palm Springs so is HOT, is being 3 days when I turned it on it is working just fine at 72 cool and fresh , than now is show 2+ it will be bump to 83 F , I already reset it to manufacture, how can I just keep it at 72? Any suggestions please , any body???

In my case, the app instructed me to reset the nest because I couldn’t connect to it upon initial installation. The best only displays a message: use the app to connect. There is no menu. What now?

Hi, should I delete my nest app settings first or this nest device first?

Will this factory reset help me get the cooling to work again?... my apartment never gets hot in the summertime or if it's hot outside because I have all wood flooring and the position of my apartment doesn't allow the sun to really come in but it was a little humid out the other day and I just wanted to just run the cooling setting for a few minutes but because it's been so cold I've had the heater on for months and now the cooling won't work so just wanted to know if this reset will help with that ....I don't want to fool with it if it's not going to work and if it's something that I need to call maintenance in for so I'm asking you first.... by the way the cooling work perfectly when I moved in so it wasn't already malfunctioning I just haven't used that setting in months THANKS 🤗
