Davinci Resolve Studio 18.6 is fast now?!

I'm having issues when I delete any clip from the timeline the audio doesn't fill the gap from the deleted clip which leaves the audio with a gap on that location so I have to go to the audio manually and correct that every time very frustrating.

Not getting this speed on my M2 Pro Mac mini 16GB Ram !!!

Tried the superscale (2x enhanced) with a 1080p clip yesterday night after watching this video and it absolutely wasn’t fast 😀 pc spec is 5950x - 64GB and a 3080. didn’t even playback w/o stutter. Didn’t expected this after watching this video :)

Finaly my amd gpu has a chanse to survive heavy work...

This update is really heavy. especially for the 4000er Nvidia series. I guess my Workflow is 200 - 300% faster with the rtx4800 compared to the 18.5.1

It's the opposite of fast for me. Rolling back to 18.5.

Won't lie I've been feeling fomo with all the adobe updates, but these updates are a solid reminder to focus on improving bread and butter features before baking fancy layer cakes built on butter

Thanks for your perfect video. Because I crate ai animations, the size always is 578x512. To upscale this size to 4K how many times do I ask Davinci studio to upscale by as my maths suck? 😊

Hi Alex. The bypass button seems to be stuck on Enable even if I have it disabled. This happened when I updated to 18.6.2. It seems like a bug but who knows. The color page does not do any changes until I exit out of resolve and go back in but then the bypass gets stuck on Enagled again. Im on a mac. Do you what could be causing this? Thanks...

Since swapping to paid version, Studio I get lots of crashes. No warnings, the program just clears out of windows 11. Always happens when using the fusion tracking module but frequently just random crash. Gone back to Premiere Pro for now till something gets fixed.

Upgrade from my 1080 with 8GB to a ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX with 24GB will be the right choice? Waiting for blackfriday...

I have a odd issue that is driving me crazy, Resolve is so glitchy and play back stops often even with 1080P @ 30fps. I have proxies enabled, playback at 1/4 , unchecked stop playback for dropped frames. (been dealing with this issues and looking for s a solution for months) My windows 11 machine is decent I think, I7 Geforce RTX 3060 16G Ram. Premier Pro is smooth and does not freeze up! Resolve is almost unusable with same media? I acutally did a fresh install of windows / reset this weekend, updated drivers for the graphics card , and still Resolve will still stop play back and "not responding" I really want to use the Resolve as I paid for the studio version but may have to go back to Premier Pro. Any ideas welcome ..

However, I'm not sure if Davinci Resolve support the OPTIMIZED NEURAL ENGINE feature on this video card ans an thunderbolt connected GPU! Super scale need another update from Blackmagic it’s still slow. After I color grade I apply this feature and the clip play in 2-4 fps.

rtx 3070 studio driver here with fast nvme m.2 , 64 gb of ram ddr4, ryzen 7 5800x . the achiles heel of davinci (18, and above is what i tried so far) is definetely in the render area and the export area. on that regard I wish it was simple and effective like premiere.

I have an Apple M2 Max 64 GB with Sonoma 14.2.1 and I used the free Version until now. Today I bought an activation key and downloaded the Studio version because of slow workflow in the edit page. I have 6 videorows in the timeline and during playing it jerked to much. But with the Studio version I have no improvement against the free version, so I am sad for buying the Studio version.

i updated mine to 18.6, when i opened the new version it looked zoomed in and too big for my screen what to do?

I upgraded to 18.6 while I have a project I was working on. And I no longer can add content to my timeline. I tried making a new timeline- it still won't let me work on the timelines. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
