Does it really pass the sound test? At some races they actually test to see if your bike is too loud and I'm pretty sure the Stark will pass that test.

I am 62 years old and don't care to take the huge double and Triple Jumps they have in the USA.
Your UK Track has small Jumps that I would not mind riding on ..

So from those 2 specific laps they were basically identical is what this really tells me. Either in reality could have won. Had he got on the throttle a fraction of a second quicker on that final lap which it looked like he could have done then the electric bike would have won. But they’re basically identical anyway. I have an Ebike that I did just by slapping a 52V battery and a BBSHD on my hardtail MTB and have so much fun on it but when it comes to motocross I haven’t got a clue or about motorbikes in general so I didn’t really care who won but if those e-bikes you can come that close to beating a guy who’s way more familiar with the petrol bike then think what a guy who rides those bikes all the time and has played around with the settings to get them perfect could do on the electric bike.

It is the future, as Max mentioned: 20% of MX tracks were forced to close due to noise. On top of that for 80% of the riders it is the better bike, as it makes riding easier and even more enjoyable. For the 20% really fast guys, it does not make the big difference, but also no disadvantage and that is is already impressive for the first model from this company, comparing to the Austrian and Japanese giants. But for me most important: this bikes is the key that our sport survives in a more sensitive society.

Can they put a speaker on there to make 2stroke sounds at least? The lap times is a testament to that mans riding. Nicely done..

That is so cool that you have a track that rents a bike for you to ride. They sell and have a track. Really cool idea. Don't have anything like that here in the U.S. that I know of.

Thing is nowadays we have all these young kids riding electric bikes of one type or another. It's the future unfortunately. I grew up on Motocross and MotoGP so hearing those sounds will always be great for an old bastd like me.
Like I said though with the amount of E-bikes in the world today and the way the world is trying to change from Gas and Oil we're heading to all electric in the next 10-20 years.
It'll be a shame but this is progress I suppose.
I still wouldn't keep one of those Chinese made Electric bikes or cars in my garage. One of those goes up in flames and u have lost ur gaff..LMAO..
nO THANKS..

What a great vid! I personally at 45 will never own an electric bike! But as everything is it will become a generation thing, our kids will grow up riding these bikes and after a few years easily be able to throw them about on the max setting! Not for me though I like the sound and smell of a petrol engine

This video is sus you ran the 500 at full tilt but you de tuned the electric bike by 20% also I'd like to point out they were on a rental that has been over charged and probably not properly charged then complained about battery life. I'd like to see a new battery take on your mint 500 especially considering that if any of the ride was at 30% the bike slows down.

Bottom line electric dirt bikes are amazing! I have ridden both and the electric bike is just more advanced in many areas especially the torque alone! If you know how to ride the electric dirt bike properly it’s the only way to go today.

The next generation of boys and girls on Stark Varg dirtbikes, will kick ass!
Remember the Stark Varg is the first generation...not a proven bike, evolution will get the best out of it..And the new kids on the block who starts out with a Stark Varg will never know things as clutch and power curves of a petrol engine....the young generation will adapt, much faster than we may belive to dirtbikes like this....
And yes i will miss the sound of a 2 stroke..

You also need to take into account that the rider has trained for decades on a gas bike. If he had trained for decades on an electric dirt bike, he surely would have been faster

Don't get me wrong, I'm an internal combustion guys, but if you put that rider on each bike for a week before their hot lap, and have a clear track, that Stark is going to smoke Kong every single time. And that's on 55hp mode. I suspect after that week of riding 80hp mode would be manageable, and it would be a no contest.

That being said, there's absolutely nothing like the smell of 2-stroke fuel in the morning, and the glorious sound of a 2-stroke with its ears pinned back.

Not sure why everyone has this replacement theory in accepting electric. I can take my 450 to the track or the trails and ride all day. What I can’t do is ride out my garage and poach the hills next to the golf course. On the stark, I can. I can also take my son and his electric 50 around the golf course and shovel some chunks and hide in the trees while we ride like we used to when I was a kid.

I think as motocross dirtbike and off-road enthusiast. We should embrace things like this as another tool in our belt. When it new tool comes out, you don’t drop your whole belt and buy the new tool. You just add that tool to your belt to become more well-rounded and more capable. I don’t see the problem with this thing, in fact, I think that is amazing and it also create competition. That’s gonna drive the two stroke and four stroke bikes to get better as well.

EV is naturally just a while different style of riding that it requires. Just the same as 2 strokes being much different than a 4 stroke. Keep them all in separate classes and then some mixed classes as well. Mixed classes would take a specific track style to accommodate each bike to bring them closer in competition.

Totally agree, I have one on order as well, and it keeps being pushed back. Not good, and it makes Stark look unprofessional. I know it's a start-up, but don't overpromise and under deliver. Also, I think it would ease more minds if they just communicated more about what is truly going on.

spend as much time and resources as you did building the Kong on the Varg.... Kong is totally maxed out in every way possible, you certainly dont know how to setup the Varg app tuning that well yet it makes a big difference from track to track power delivery engine braking is a huge one so in that short time you cant expect much a month on a Varg dialing it in getting to know the bike it makes a big difference
