I’d be shocked if they didn’t acquire so they can push their next gen of gta online with roleplay fearures w/o the competition. It’s all about bottom $ at the end of the day for these big companies

This is the guy that guaranteed a nopixel rdr2 rp server would be made months after it released on pc many many years ago. Also they did acquire cfx but havent made it any easy to mod rdr2 to my understanding.

I'm sure they'll use cfx for something as they've already announced there will be no sixm but i imagine it will be much further down the road, ppl thinking GTA 6 will be rp ready day on of pc launch are going to be disappointed again as there is no way in hell rockstar or take two is allowing anybody from cfx see thier code/game before release as they struggle with leaks the way it is n anybody watches the doc about 5 being made knows the team is kept super small n rp is NOT even near the top of the priority list as rp doesnt make squat compared to everything else. Hence it will be released on console first n i doubt it will even be released in 2025 has delays are rumored n basically the norm these days.

Rockstar has Fuck You money, so who knows.

im gonna guess when GTA 6 comes out if Rockstar went all out on making it then all thats left is hosting a server of your own so NP just might do that with less additional mods in to the server

Happens all the time. What are you talking about? Companies buy out brands to consolidate markets all of the time. It makes a lot more sense for them to do that then ROCKSTAR buying some shit ass Russian mod for a game that ROCKSTAR developed. You know the shitty tools modders use for GTA, you know the ones ROCKSTAR doesn't have to use. What they paid for is data.

Companies only buy stuff to shut down if it’s viewed as competition or a massive mistake. Otherwise it’s to consolidate resources and technology to improve product or set forth massive change in industries. Pretty confident Rockstar saw the popularity and longevity roleplay has created and wants to figure out a way/path to monetizing that with micro transactions.
