Very Canadian I luv the song when it came out in 1981 when I was 15 years old I lost my daughter last year and it reminds me of her and she beautiful 😮
ОтветитьAWESOME SONG 🎵 ♥️ IT. LOTS OF AWESOME MUSIC 🎶 PEOPLE FROM CANADA. ESP. RUSH 😢
ОтветитьIt's funny, i grew up and only knew this song hearing it in the early 80's on my little transistor radio in Toronto... memories of doing homework... lol. I have only now seen the video for it.
ОтветитьWe sure lost an iconic player when "Too Loud" went away!
ОтветитьJoey was kind of no match for Corey. Not the Joey was wrong, but Corey is much more charismatic, and being the frontman, much more well-known. Also he kind of had it together more than Joey seems more emotional and maybe even more unpredictable.
But the harsh truth is that life isn’t fair. And the music business is even less fair.
Both guys are highly intelligent, very talented, and have fresh musical ideas. Joey has a little more band cred with the hardcore fans probably. But Corey is much more of a public figure and has been kind of the spokesperson and driving force of the band in the past few years.
And Corey is a man with a plan - or plans - for both himself, and Slipknot. There was no way they could justify recording an album without him at that time with him, saying, he was still too emotionally affected by Paul’s death. Whether this is true or not is debatable, but you gotta take a man on his word. He seemed pretty genuine.
Joey the other hand was undoubtedly, severely perturbed by Paul’s death. And while it’s understandable and commendable that he would be overly bummed by Paul’s death, the way he just transitioned into trying to record the album without Corey was regardless of attention had been building up before, seems a little bit abrupt, or disingenuous, under the circumstances. It’s kind of felt like a power-play. Cz🎉qAnd it didn’t his drug used to become a problem to the point that it became reported on the news.
So well, Joey might have had good reasons for cheating on Corey, I think he miscalculated and underestimated the Appeal that Cory has
So eerily evocative of the early '80s that I could swear I'm eight years old, riding around in my dead dad's truck at night and listening to the radio--starting to worry a little about the fact that I haven't done my homework yet.
ОтветитьWonderful Classic

ОтветитьThis is alright, but I prefer the Recess Monkey’s version
ОтветитьJust saw a hilarious “cover” of this song in an old SCTV clip with Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy and the legendary John Candy.
ОтветитьThis song was owned by The Recess Monkeys!
ОтветитьBefore the Hip came into my life in 89, there was Chilliwack. And before the internet I looked for years for this song. This and the Steinman version of Rock n Roll Dreams.
ОтветитьThis was a big hit in Utah in the US back in the 80's
ОтветитьMan it's great to hear that song again. I remember singing it when I was in my early teens. I seen someone reference Canadian radio. I used to listen to CKLW out of Ontario and it was a big hit on that station. Cool memory.
ОтветитьGreat song, but the cover by Recess Monkeys is even better!
ОтветитьRED!
ОтветитьOne of the best songs to come out of Canada. The overlapping vocals and harmonies are amazing. It's no wonder it was nominated for a Juno award. Those lyrics really hit home if you've ever had a relationship go sour. Easily my favorite Chilliwack song.
ОтветитьThat building they are playing front of is in Vancouver, Gastown, across from the Gassy Jack Statue
ОтветитьGO CANADA
