I loved the Banish Vitamin C creme, but then they went and changed the formula and now I wonder about repurchasing it because all I've seen since the formula change are negative comments. But it helped me so much and since I ran out, I've noticed my skin relapsing slightly. What exactly does the ingredient tetrasodium glutamate diacatate do? And what do they mean by "organic alcohol"?

I started using vit C at night and see significant improvement but wonder if the retinol would reduce the effecfiness of vit C.

Ascorbic Acid is synthetic and so is Tocopherol. Tocopherol is extremely cancerous. I stay away from these 2 ingredients.

A tiny bottle of C E Ferulic Acid is $100+. You can buy them separately and mix it for less than $50. My dear skin enthusiasts, if you haven't already tried to make your own serums, please try it. I have hyaluronic acid, vitamin c, retinyl palmitate, and vitamin e all on standby and can mix them depending on my uses. Word of caution, not all of them should be mixed. Dr. Davin Lim points out in his Retinol video exactly which ones should not be mixed.

Save yourself the money and put it into your savings or hobbies. Mix your own serums!

Hi dr Lin I have dermatitis on my skin I have had over a year now it’s started off red with leathery patches eczema and burning now a year I have been using hydrocortisone acetate and cetaphil for dry skin
And also I have been using zinc plus and magnesium

As usual amazing but the 'you gotta understand your formulations' comment there can be a bit bewildering to people. What exactly does that mean? Just understanding the % is enough or you need to understand the entire ingredients list and how to understand formulations if chemistry just isnt your thing?

Thanks for the information! If I'm using prescription retinoic acid at night and I want to use vitamin C to help with hyperpigmentation, should I just stick with vitamin C in the morning and retinol at night, or should I alternate C and retinol at night?
