[TF2] The Biggest MvM Mistakes

99% of the times i get kicked from mvm, it's because im not being a slave to the meta

Tbh the reason most people dont ready up is because they're playing on a laptop and the default bind doesn't work.

Once I was playing MvM as a medic, and was pocketing a pyro. A tank arrived, and the pyro said to me; “Okay, medic, don’t Übercharge.”
I misheard him, and right clicked. He then said, “I said DON’T!” My brain interpreted that moment as “It’s not worth Übering when dealing with tanks.” I am very glad that was the realisation I had.

I somehow keep on getting matches with one of two different bots who flooded a match & kick me constistantly. I am a newbie who doesn’t know how to join community servers & I just want to play vanilla without being kicked by bots.

Got in a lobby after years of not playing tf2 as soon as i pick pyro i got called a n** multiple times and kicked immediatly, problem was... there were no other lobbies to join in 2 cities apparently since the next 3 times i tried to look for a match it woluld queue me up again to the same one, they went out of their way to stop everything and wait more than 10 minutes to see if i would leave, to then kick me again...(since i pulled out my rocket jumper and started practicing to not leave out of spite)
Of course all this people had ranging from 200 to 900 ops.
What's funny was the absence of an explanation in all of this, in the short time i was in i learned a lot just from seeing how they positioned dispencers teleporters ecc ecc... but i didn't remember the tf2 community like this...
I don't understand how a new player/low tour can learn if high tours treat you like this (since you should learn from experienced people)
This was genuinly upsetting to go through.

the first time i played on mann up mode, a teammate offered to give me a free beggars bazooka cause i did not know what i was doing, they where very cool.

The gas ⛽️ passer one is dumb, why would something that HELPS your team against Ai controller robots 🤖 be a problem? Everything else makes sense though.

I've played MvM ONCE and got kicked a few rounds into it. I was Just having fun and Could See how my build probably wasnt optimal, so i went into another one. Played again, asked about what best to Upgrade. No Response only a kick. The Last Time i tried that day i read Up on good builds, started playing again and then after a couple of rounds someone ranted i wasnt using canteens and got instantly kicked again. Never touched MvM or TF2 since.

my only kick in MvM was on wave 666.
we had 2 heavies, i was one of them.
i got kicked because i was using the buffalo steak and warrior spirit to deal more tank damage than the other heavy who refused to do anything but sit in front of the tank with his aussie minigun and yell at me to stop throwing.

after we lost to those tanks they kicked me.

The question is: why did you mention f2p's in a gamemode that f2p's are barred from, to my knowledge?

honestly when it comes to the gas passer, I don't get why it's hated on anyway, before the damage patch where you could basically get an infinite loop if you could hit groups like a wizard casting fireball, yeah sure that ruins the fun for everyone, but in the current state it's just fine and probably the best in slot for pyro secondary.

the liberty isnt a bad wepon due to the fact the direct shit is a thing for mvm and atleast itz esyer to salvage than that and also most of the time while runniong liberty im also running the buff banner to help le team and the damage output of myself

I remember when it was a 6 player lobby on two citties, and there was a massive asshole who kept throwing N-word slurs, and different insults at everyone (except me, since I had the “high-tour passage”) he was a tour 56, and I was a tour 199. Eventually I told him to stop being a asshole and the team decided to kick me instead of him, and the vote went through and kicked me 😂

It was Wave 6/6 as well. And I said nothing except that.

ive only done like 4 tours but i got kicked pnce while playing medic bc my mouse just decided to randomly unbind every button, including left and right click 😭😭😭

I’ve only ever played MvM twice and I didn’t get kicked both times plus it was on Two Cities

Shout out to high tours who teach low tours the best way to play instead of kicking and making mvm worse then it already is, definitely one of my favorite genders.

I once met some TF2 vets in a match of boot camp, they hadn’t played the game for years (one of them even having the Proof of Purchase, Cheater’s Lament and both of them were wearing Soldier of Fortunes) while I don’t play MVM that much, it was really fun teaching them all the tips and tricks I’d learnt over the years such as baiting sentry busters and not putting more than one upgrade into the mini gun rage upgrade. While we didn’t always F4 immediately, we just goofed off a little between waves, with me and my other 3 teammates showing off our cosmetics and taunts. I’m all honesty, they were really nice, I hope to meet them again someday

I started playing MvM recently and got kicked in my first game because they "wanted easier bots" (this is the easiest difficulty of tours btw)

Also I've used the Gas Passer in games because I saw how good it was for someone else and I'll probably do it again

I once got kicked went to join another server and ended up on the same one

I never get kicked in mvm but i think i played ok

My first exposure to MvM was joining a group and getting kicked before I could even purchase an upgrade. This was within the first 8 seconds of me joining the group in question. I was never given a reason and I have no clue what they kicked me for to this day.

you forgot about the game hostage takers. those who join lock pyro and if ya "dont pay them" they airblast the bots carrying bombs straight to the silo and even when ya kick them they get back into your match
