Mine is tomorrow morning at 10am!! 😅 I was notified yesterday and want to make sure I'm ready!

For virtual interviews, would typing or hand writing be better, and should you disclose it right at the beginning, right before you start taking notes, or only if they ask? Or maybe just ask, "do you mind if I take notes during the interview?"

I have a virtual interview in roughly 30mins and this video totally jacked up my preparation. I'm glad that some of the things that are listed in this video, are the ones that I have been doing since yesterday. Also, I'd like to add that the meeting was just set abruptly yesterday so I'm kind of scared that I won't get the job due to lack of preparation.

I applied for an outside sales position, at my present company, in a region I I am moving to, a few months back. I had privately spoken with my direct supervisor and explained my situation and why moving was necessary but hadn’t submitted anything formal yet. After a few weeks, I found an email in my inbox from that department’s supervisor stating I lacked sales experience and wasn’t viable for the position. It was true I haven’t sold anything since the mid-2000’s, but I also have been with the company for Eight years and know the product better than anyone at my location. When something needs identified or technical information is needed, they bring it to me. I later learned they had someone else in the process of being hired which I can appreciate. With Eight days remaining, I just got called into the branch manager’s office and learned that the candidate fell through, and with the support of the people up the chain of command, I have an interview tomorrow at 9AM. With your suggestions and my insider knowledge, I should have a leg up on anyone else. Now all I have to do is sale myself and everything else should fall into place. I will follow up and let you know if I stick the landing or land on my face. I will take any well wishes I can get but true luck is created.

Q: Is it ever O.K. to put your speech-to-text app in record mode, so you can re-read the conversation later? Sometimes a second round interview is a month later, and I think this would help. However, your phone volume has to be on.
