You save me a lift. following the viewing of this video. I started working on my Ford Transit mk7. I used the same method, however I used Permatex ultra grey on the timing chain cover and oil pan. Functions like a magic. Engine runs for five to ten minutes. NOT A SINGLE LEAK. I appreciate you putting this video online.
ОтветитьThose two bolts are crying out to be nipped a bit.
ОтветитьMethinks the engine should be quite hot before apply the sealant. Let the engine cool. Then the gasket bolts should be tightened to a very slightly higher torque
ОтветитьMethinks any car , new or old should include a thorough tightening of all nuts of all the liquid holding gaskets after a cretain mileage; vibration can loosen bolts/nuts.
ОтветитьClean the whole thing or not
ОтветитьDid the fix hold?
ОтветитьAfter praying to God thanking him for healing, repairing and rejuvenating my car engine, car belts, suspension, clutch and all other areas...everything improved drastically. I had the previous owner of the car drive it and they said not only did it drive like new (it's a 19 year old car) but they noticed the engine sounded like new as well, much quieter (can barely hear it when it's on) and a stuttering noise it used to have has now completely gone. After noticing this they did the same sort of prayer for their own car and noticed the same outcome!
Matthew 19:26
“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
2023 and we still do not have 100% reliable antirust cars.
Ответитьthi sis soo awesome mate, so i wonder if this would work to stop my oil leak caused by my rear main seal?? i honestly cant afford to have my gearbox taken out just for that seal.
car has been leaking for 6 yrs now lol
This is absolutely the right assessment suited to the oil leak crime. Unless there's a $1000 need, when you can fix it for $10? Great job, 100% transparency in doing the right thing, ignore those keyboard trolls who say otherwise.
ОтветитьWhat name this cream ?I want to use
ОтветитьOi do you use that to seal fuel injectors as well?
ОтветитьGoing out to shed to try on my old Fergie...thanks...
ОтветитьPlease tell me if are there any other options to weld a diff leaking seal?
ОтветитьThat was awsome .i bet your wife don't appreciate you using her tooth brush and sneaking it back into the washroom. i was thinking what if you used some cellophane or sandwich wrap to push on the silicone and make it smooth . Good job dodgy .
ОтветитьWhy is this so comforting to watch ?
I need brake cleaner in my life
I would have a lot more faith inlyou if you snugged up any bolts along the joint before you did your service.
ОтветитьRe torque bolts first ?
ОтветитьWill this method work in a timing cover ..leak is coming right beneath the tensioner?
ОтветитьCould this work in an old truck in the Canada Winters.
ОтветитьIs it just me or is there a casting crack just to the left of the bolt. It's not the seam.
ОтветитьWhats The Name of The Sealent?
ОтветитьPerhaps check if the bolts are nizentight?
ОтветитьWhen fluid comes out between the cases like this (between engine and transmission, or between transmission and transfer case), it's because there is a leaking seal inside. There should not be any fluid inside those housings. Even if you manage to seal up the case joint, all that will do is let the inside of the case fill up with fluid from the leaking seal. And even worse, it will mask the leak for a long time, possible allowing the transfer case or tranny to run low.
ОтветитьCan you tell me the product name because i have transmission leaking
ОтветитьWill not work that’s just wasting time flywheel seal need replace
ОтветитьWhat sealant are you using in the video
Ответитьi would not spray directly it can get into the oil.
ОтветитьWould this work on timing gasket?
ОтветитьDoes it work on leaking valve covers?
ОтветитьCan this work on 2015 sienna 3.5 Liter timing cover leak? Thanks in advance!!
ОтветитьExactly where mines leaking
ОтветитьSpray it with Flex Seal. Works great. Don't spray it on surfaces that get very hot.
ОтветитьJb weld steel expoxy would fix that better
ОтветитьDude. You are hiding an oil leak. Not fixing it. I am embarrassed.
ОтветитьShould have checked the torque of the through bolts in that area.
ОтветитьAny good fixes for repairing a boot tear on a perfectly good ball joint? Thks
Ответитьthis engine oil or transmission fluid?
ОтветитьYou're not really fixing anything doing this.
ОтветитьAs someone who lives in the rustbelt of the U.S. I'm disappointed that you "fixed" the automatic rust prevention feature. In all seriousness, this is a perfect example of when it's OK to use a bandaid on a vehicle.
ОтветитьI'll never get my 7 minute's back.
ОтветитьHi Fourby4Diesel, do you have an update on how the leak evolved?? Was it fixed?? Thank you for taking the time to do this. Cheers from Costa Rica !!!!
ОтветитьUseless I've tried it
Ответитьtime would've been better spent checking & tightening the case bolts and cleaning the breather which wasn't mentioned . if leak isn't bad enough to leave streaks or form drops it's prbly not worth messing with. clean & keep under observation ( chk next service )
ОтветитьWOW THAT IS NOT THE AREA THAT WOULD BE LEAKING THE SEALS ARE IN THE PARTS YOU JUST RTV'ED TOGETHER,THAT ABSOLUTELY FIXED NOTHING.
ОтветитьSo what’s the product where do you buy
Ответить
