Chris at 11 minutes doing that super has an insane back story behind it.
So the orochi god (the big guy in white he turns into) was suppose to wipe the entire humanity out due to humans being cancer to the earth.
Chris, Shermie and the "rolling dough guy" are his followers that would do anything to bring Orochi back.
But it didn't work, so Chri actually killed himself on the spot and give his flesh for Orochi to come back.
So when Chris turns into Orochi and had that SUN RAY super, Chris actually sucided that at moment.
That's how fucking sick the super is!

I would love to one day see a KoF game that pulled an "Everyone is Here." A game where literally every playable character in the King of Fighters series appear in one BIG KoF game.

Yamasaki’s super is crazy I too wanted to rate it a 10/10 but it’s over the scale 11/10

For Athena's, there are other variations in her HDSM, all have different animations, though the one with her gal pals all sitting on the opponent is the best one. I've pulled it off a small handful of times on this game (PS2 version), and on Neowave, but on 02 UM I have it macroed, because no way in hell am I going to remember the input commands for her HDSM (Hyper Desperation Super Move). I do love the character portraits on the screen when you pull one off though, the game itself is quite fun, and the hidden Omega Rugal fight is quite hard, you cannot continue on him if he beats you (the game goes right to credits).

Just gonna put this out there for a historical lesson. So the multiple hit combination attack that Ryo, Robert, Yuri, and Takuma do is called the Ryuuko Ranbu. It's the move Max compared to a Ultra Combo from Killer Instinct. While the comparison is somewhat accurate even though the way you go about achieving them is slightly different, the visuals of the move looks similar. But a point I would like to make is Art of Fighting, where Ryo, Robert, Takuma, bad Yuri are from, came out in 1992 and featured this type of super move finisher first because Killer Instinct came out in 1994. So most people I know call any super that has a character charge at a opponent and do a flashy combination of blows automatically without player input during the animation a Ranbu super. Ultras require certain buttons to be pressed to alter it or get it going. If you wanted a closer comparison, Geese's Deadly Rave is way closer to an Ultra Combo since you need to continuously press different button sequences to successfully complete it. Just saying for clarification a d for anyone who cares.

I played this game religiously with my friends back in high school that’s what got me into fighting games its one of the best fighting games we played back in the day. I learned how to combo in mortal kombat and every other fighting game because of KOF
