I do not envy anyone starting VHS collecting. Its an uphill battle before you hit 250 tapes. You hit a platue and it becomes much easier on your mental.

This was a very disappointing video. Just a bunch of general and useless info. Tip #5 about how you thought you were buying a sealed copy and got burned. Well okay....but you don't tell us a single thing about the deal and HOW you got burned which would help collectors. Seems really silly to do a video like this.

Did you just buy a bunch of cheap common titles in duplicates that no one else wanted? These aren’t “top titles” or “rare titles” you are showing. You have 20 copies of ET? Lol. So did every single video store. Why would anyone want to pay for something so common???

Used to work at a donation place and the amount of VHS that are in mint condition that were thrown away baffled my head, (legend/Lost boys/Dark Crystal/never ending story/willow/evil dead/starwars) it was beyond nuts lol

Great video vhs proven it can do 5 things 1 damage vhs plays 2 when they are not damage they still plays great 3 broken vhs gets fixed with scotch tape it starts playing again with no problem 4 VHS that is dangerous from heat that still plays 5 mold vhs proven it still plays now blue Ray's proven can only do 1 thing play when they are not damage yet damage blue Ray's proven they lock up or doesn't play at all

It’s amazing how wrong everything you’re saying is. Please stop spreading false information around. It truly goes to show how little you know about this.

These tips suck. They're the most generic suggestions I've ever seen. Things to actually look for is mold on a tape, look to make sure the box isn't damaged with water stains or mold on the inside of the box, check for certain labels like AIP or Dead Alive that have limited print runs and put out some crazy movies. Star Wars and the Goonies had millions of copies printed. The only valuable ones to own of those mainstream movies are stupid rare, good luck if that's what you really want but the true fun of collecting movies is finding the crazy shit you've never seen and probably don't want to.

Space can be an issue, I'm having be a little more picky now, running out of space. Having fun with it is the most important thing.

I have a ton of VHS cassettes. Do collectors buy used or just sealed?
