I don't suppose you have an updated version of how to Remote Access HA do you? I've been hit by the CG-NAT and can no longer get to my HA on 4g/5g. I see the freenom site no longer works with Cloud flare. I do have OpenVPN on my pfsense firewall but I can't rely on this for my family members as they will never turn it on.
I'm thinking about nabu casa but the whole point in HA was the fact that it's all ran for free on my own hardware... Plus I like to tinker . Thanks in advance

Freenom is obviously now defunct - but was able to follow these instructions using a different domain provider (in my case IONOS) pretty easily. Great video - but worth updating with another domain provider)

Freenom is being sued and domains are not available anymore. Any other option to get free or cheap domains? I don't mind paying for 5+ years if it is really cheap.

Cloudflare is EVIL. Spammers use them to hide their spam websites and Cloudflare just lets them get away with it, does nothing.

Hi Lewis. Your videos have helped me a lot in my introduction to HA. Thanks for that. However, this tutorial leads me to my domain/site not being found.
Everything went well:
- url is now active on a Cloudflare Free plan - message well received (url being the name of the domain)
- Config file validated
- When typing in the domain name into the browser: no 400 bad request response but site cannot be reached (error message in dutch).
- Code copied into configuration.yaml. Same result.
Any suggestions?

If someone has the same error... If cloudflare returns a "403 Forbidden cloudflare-nginx" first check that you don't have any wildcard subdomain :)

Help, I have installed all the codes as instructed and started to build remote buttons, however when I did a HA restart, the scrips became corrupt. Now I need to re install them from scratch and re learn all the codes. how can I stop this from happening each time i do a restart?

The thing I liked about your last 'single URL' video, was the fact that automatically switched to local, but with this is there an option to do the same? Not that cloudflare goes down a lot, but I wouldnt want to rely on it for local access.

I have a question. It doesn't work on HA app for iPhone. It works only if you select the created domain on safari/google and log in there. Is there a way to make it work from the mobile app too? thanks

Hi Lewis, I always enjoy your videos thanks a lot man :) However, i came across a problem - instead of freenom i used hostinger. Got a domain, copied the DNS from cloudflare to hostinger, all seems fine. Started the cloudflared addon, but i keep getting an error when copying the authorization URL - i end up in cloudflare error page saying "404 | We can't find the page you're looking for." What am i doing wrong?

1 year update - Freenom let my domain go without emailing me to renew. Now it's reserved somewhere else and I can't use it.. looking for another domain but I'd rather not have to switch every year.
