Cabbage-pult Doesn't Work in PvZ2

I like how cabbage pult sucks in both games.

No one is mentioning that cabbagepult is genuinely a fantastically useful plant in BWB in countering scuba and octo as a cheap early plant? It was meta for a bit. It's plant food is also nice. Still not a good plant over all of course, but you know. Lots of bad plants there

my problem with this take is that, what about peashooter after you unlock superior alternatives? I have never used peashooter outside of tutorial levels or some early levels of Ancient Egypt. hence, wouldn't the argument of "trivialized by other plants" work for peashooter as well? even though grave-busters & bloomerang also circumvent the hindrance of graves, they are not lobbers. IMO cabbage-pult being the first tutorial lobber you get at least merits a place in the pvz2 universe -- it fulfills the purpose of simply being a tutorial lobber. wouldn't stuff like pea-nut or intensive carrot be a more useless plant overall?

Anyways after I level up I out class peashooter anyway and DPM doesn't matter if I do enough dmg to kill zombies in only a couple hits 😊😊

I personally use leveling, but even that can’t save Cabbage-Pult from rarely being in my arsenal, if ever.

Without cabbage pult, there would be no Temple of Bloom.

Yeah the plant food effect alone has made it one of my first cheap plant picks for most levels tbh

Cabbage pult is kinda useful ngl when theres a grave or tomb it targets the zombie in its lane first so its kinda good in dark ages and egypt

What if Ancient Egypt's level gimmick was that there would be pyramids randomly jutting out of the ground (half buried ones), that the zombies could climb so it actually give the pults a purpose?

For example:
You can't just mention cabbage-pult without mentioning peashooter.
Why? I kind of never mention either so?
Maybe you could've compared them to more similar plants like melon pult, or more in detail with bloomerang.
Secondly, you also said that it's not good at dealing with jester zombies, but to be honest, bloomerang and melon pult even less, especially if you look at bloomerangs plant food.
I think cabbage pult is really nice, and actually has a pretty fine niche. Why is bloomerangs better? I think bloomerangs plant food is boring, and that cabbage pult is a nice introduction to the catapult plants

cabbage pult is still able to attack snorkel zombies that are in water but tangle kelp can just single handily kill snorkel zombies at a lower sun cost, but the only situations cabbage pult is useful is if theres a grave and a zombie in front of cabbage pult, cabbage pult is able to target the zombie first and being able to launch the cabbage over the shovel of excavator zombie in lost city

I like cabbage pult because it has a fun plant food effect

Cabbage pult has the sole purpose in pvz2 to hit zombies while there are graves in its lane but grave buster is unlocked very early and kernel pult at least has a stun

Level 3 cabbage-pult can solo a conehead. Cabbage-pult is a direct upgrade from peashooter. It just makes peashooter obsolete. Cabbage-pult was my favourite plant for most of adventure. Fight me.

Cabbage pult speedruns the last wave on every level just save your plant food have 2 cabbage pults and u instant clear the final waves all this tiny margin comparison of the primary fire is irrelevant compared to the very very scaling plant food. Like video mentions it does 200 dmg to EVERY zombie then th gargs are instantly taking the hits alone as all zombs are dead and they are cleaned very fast

Imo Pepper Pult is arguably worse. It has a way longer cooldown, costs double the sun, and has no benefits other than heating nearby plants which is only a feature in 2 worlds, and hot potato can already do this.

Cabbage Pult may be bad, but Pepper is literally just the more expensive version of it. Not for any big reason.

What they should have done was make it so that only lobbing plants can hit flying zombies like balloon, segull, etc. and peas would pass under them. And, even though cabbage pult would still be outclassed by melon pult, dusk lobber, etc, it would only be like how peashooter gets outclassed by repeater.

You didint mention it but CapagePults just like all catapult plants do more damage to Seaqull and Pelican zombies since they hit the bird. This might be the case for dragonfly zombies too but im not sure about that.

I like cabbage pult simply for its special ability to deal damage to all zombies at once

Cabbage pult saved me in arena (real) with it's pf (although it's a mastery 13 level lel)

I’ve only played PvZ1 around once or twice in an airplane or something several years ago, and yet I watched this video like I was studying for a test.

What is your beef with is plant

In any level with graves, I would prefer Cabbage-Pult as if a zombie is coming down that lane, since it is lobbed, it goes over the graves and onto the zombies, but if peashooter was there, it would hit the graves until it’s destroyed. Other than that I would use any type op peashooter

every plant in PvZ had a dedicated purpose for existing.

PvZ2 adds plants willy nilly with no regard to balance or purpose (fire pea anyone?) to get you to spend money and cash in on nostalgia players.

The fact that PvZ2 levels are designed to be beaten in under 2-3 minutes each also plays a factor. Ive never used a winter melon because i feasibly cant save 500 sun to plant one before the final wave hits because of how ridiculously fast paced PvZ2 is compared to PvZ1.
