Thank you for these tips! It was really helpful ❤️ but I've been looking for a narrow foot so long, that I was going to give up. Could you share the information where to get this foot?

These clear, to-the-point and understandable guides and tutorials are SO appreciated because of my ADHD!! The idea of needing to watch longer videos to piece together the basics of sewing doll clothes (as i'm not a sewing beginner, but I haven't sewn anything on this tiny of a scale!) has been putting me off!! I'm glad I found your channel :D

Awesome tips! I’d have never thought of some of this stuff! As a person who sews as a hobby I feel almost like an imposter for not knowing about a narrow presser foot! I need one now!

I would recommend you try Fray Block instead of Fray Check. Both do the job and both dry clearly but Fray Block dries softer. Very helpful on ribbons and bows too.

Tiny sewing!! I'm definitely going to keep those tiny needles in mind! I'm learning to make plushies and apparently doing things normal is boring so I'm attempting to make my pattern as tiny as possible, ok not as possible but atleast keychain sized and it can be kinda tricky! Luckily I really enjoy sewing by hand so it's not too hard! I've started using basting tap and sometimes adhesive spray in place of pinning. I really love the clips, I got them off a friends recommendation and I love them EXCEPT I try not to use them because it makes my project way down a lot. But I'm working with minky so the spray and basting tape just doesn't cut it most of the time. I tend to like to use pins to line up my pieces (only puncturing them straight through so I can make sure certain parts of the patterns meet up so I know it'll match) actually sometimes I just use my hand sewing needle because it's convenient but I will keep it in mind if I use more delicate fabrics, luckily I use minky and nothing really shows. There really isn't a lot when it comes to this stuff. Not much tutorials for more complicated patterns or interesting content in general on my topic. I have a lot of crafting time to spend with nothing to watch!!

Fray check saves my life. Lately, I start to make doll clothes. I always wonder it must have something to overlook frabic because doll clothes are smaller than adults. I bought overcasting foot because I only have a sewing machine with the zig-zag stitch. It took me 30 minutes just to overlock fabric. I am so frustrated until I find out fray check cheaper and faster than buy serger or overcasting foot. Thank you so much

I have some things shown in the video like mini clips (of wood) or needles, sadly i can't buy the other things. Here in Argentina, Amazon wants to makes you pay like 7.000 Argentine pesos for like a goddamn piece of paper
Please i don't want to live here anymore

I adore sewing clips, they make life easy. And it is so, so, SO important to swatch test fray check/fray stop because some fabrics are super absorbent- I stupidly once just went straight to fray checking a delicate piece I'd embroidered without checking it with the few scraps I had left, and the fray check just swept through the fabric like if you dipped the corner of a tissue in water- and it stained and turned the fabric hard. Could not get it to wash out. No more fabric left to replace it, all the local stores sold out of that very unique colour of wedding dress grade satin that cost me an arm and a leg. Entire expensive project with hours of work ruined because I rushed it. Swatch test your fray stop!! I also only apply it with a little brush with the fabric sitting on paper towel, now, so I only apply the barest amount at a time to avoid further catastrophe.

Oh! I forgot! Hemostat, I use a small nosed hemostat (fishing lure making size). You can get them at Walmart in the fishing lure area. And I turn dress bodices out, and socks when I see them. It locks and grips very well. I’ve used it for elastic as well! Since I have ball jointed dolls I use the larger nosed ones for restringing. And for the SD sized (1/3) dolls! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🧵🧵🧵🧵

Yes!!! Those clips are perfect, I also use pins still. I also use a small craft iron, and I got a doll clothing ironing board. It’s invaluable! I hand sew all of my doll clothing. And I use a fishing hook sharpener for my hand needles. And I use a thimble for my middle finger. And sometimes I get the top of my thumb with the sewing needle, so I have a larger like ‘sock’ thimble for that thumb. To protect it.

Beading needles! I have some from past beading projects too so will be using them from now on. Thank you! :)
Before covid I used to sew mostly dance wear and despite all the enthusiasm of others I wasn't a fan of quilt clips for stretch fabrics but then I started sewing face masks and dolls clothes! The extra narrow ones you showed are brilliant! I still use my extra fine pins for dolls clothes but standard pins are just as you say.
Yes to tweezers too! I like craft/sewing tweezers best as they are longer and comparatively slimmer so they're really good for just guiding tiny pieces under the foot like a stiletto too. My favourites are the opposable ones that close when you released the pressure.
