ОтветитьGiven the interest in these "vintage" instruments, you'd think somebody would bring out a modern clone - trouble is, it would probably be (ugh) Behringer.
ОтветитьIt amazing how you can get a string sound out of these brilliant vintage instruments.
ОтветитьAnyone know the difference between the 249 and the SC749 ?
They look identical. . . . . [EDIT] (got this from a German website), from what I can tell the '249' is a typo, it appears in a few references on the internet, probably all stemming from the same place, but the actual model is called the 749, there is no 249.
Love the sound of it. I love the old string machines anyway, and of course the Solina through a phaser 🥰, but I bet this would be incredible through one also
ОтветитьI am bery familiar with the KPM ad Bruton music libraries. My first studio work was with a production studio that recorded tons of radio and television commercials. We also produced sound tracks for corporate AV presentations.
ОтветитьLooks like the music rest was touching the mic so every key touch comes with a loud clunk 😵💫 Otherwise really nice vintage strings sound
ОтветитьAnother great video. Much appreciated knowledge. 👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьDoh! Music stand against the microphone. 😂😅 Nice sound, finally a synth with few enough buttons. Thank you great work.
ОтветитьNice sounds, btw. String machines are very limited but add something really haunting
ОтветитьCrumar Performer modulation section gives a similar effect to the Godwin one
ОтветитьIm suprised that the chorus is quite mild for a string machine. The sliders are good in a live situation for a expression control, a substitute for a touch response or aftertouch.
ОтветитьSorry, Gain Piero who?
ОтветитьSynths need to bring back these color schemes
ОтветитьHad the 849 version for many years..extra solo brass and string sections....still sublime sounding with a decent reverb..
ОтветитьAmazing strings for the age of the instrument Wow !!!
ОтветитьI do like your videos. They are even weirder than mine :D :D
Ответитьhave you ever considered making samplers of some of your rarer synths
ОтветитьA string synth with individual envelopes for each note? WITCHCRAFT!!!!!!
ОтветитьSounds great!
ОтветитьMany thanks for demonstrating the two Godwin synthesizers. Sounds great! In fact you need at least two to get a lead violin - you never get the concert running with just one Godwin. All of the audience would say: "Why it is called Godwin Concert when there is no tutti. That's only a solo. Can't be, our reality collapses ..." It's not about smugness at all, it's about saving the orchestral reality, sir!
I'm looking forward to the setup with the Leslie-speaker.
Fader controls are a fine thing which I like, too. Maybe because used to the equaliser interface from the first stereo since I was young? All the best :-)!
As always thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. The work you do and your channel are such an important historical resource for players such as myself who will probably never get the chance to lay their hands on these amazing keys! I really can’t thank you enough for sharing these videos with us!!
