Quick tip for people wanting to use a .VRM model.
Erase and and all things you can not see with your eyes with deeply looking at the model IE: Pants that go down to ankle erase most of the pants but do it so if some is staring right at ya they cant see the erasing you had to do very very helps profonce saved me a good 9k polygons.
Is there anyway you could make a Vroid avatar for quest without the textures on the eyes from messing up due to transparent meshes

ОтветитьLITTLE DID I KNOW in blender, if i make the avatar in Blender, I hae to add the VRM rig under add and armeture, and it will atomatically have the humanoid bones set up in blender. (NOT IN UNITY THO IT WILL NOT MAKE IT TO WHERE YOU DON"T HAVE TO SET IT UP!)

Do you recommend to create avatar in unity or vroid/blender/etc? I thought Unity was about creating 3D worlds so what is the advantage to do so, and also why "importing" an avatar in unity if it's better to creating it here?
Also for the part about quest users, is this for all quest users or PCVR allows any avatar options?

ОтветитьHello, I have some uncertainty with VRchat, the reason is that no one is talking about what will happen to it because of the "Unity" controversy. VRchat is at risk because of this and no one has said anything 😟

ОтветитьTo note recently. Poi toon is available as a vcc dependency, so feel free to add it that way to be able to update and install easily
ОтветитьDefinitely helpful, so much information in one place. I do VRM models myself and use Blender and Unity a lot to make them more spicy than "just" a Vroid, but I always struggled when it was time to move everything to VRChat. Great work Phia like always ^^
ОтветитьIf it goes the same way it did with ChilloutVR, the migration to Unity 2022 will not be as much of a headache as most people think.
The biggest problem is that some shaders have an issue with only being visible in one eye (which is uncomfortable to look at) but a lot of avatars and worlds didn't even need to be rebuilt.
Fortunately Poi doesn't have this problem.

ОтветитьI'm wanting to get into VR at some point but I don't know what to start with.. I'll have to save up for a gaming laptop, the VR headset, monitor, and find a cheap yet decent internet service in my local area.
