It long ago passed the point where the playground bully name calling had an effect on many. It's now like water off a duck's back.

I can't believe that the one interviewer tried to manipulate the interviewee into a different answer. That is exactly the type of manipulation that Macron and his goons use.

Our politicians who want to raise the pension age again conveniently after the next election. They have already broken the social contract with NHS failures and the previous pension age rise. They would need to take notice of what's happening in France as it could come to the UK in the near future if they continue on this path.

Why would we work longer just because we live longer? Why just work and serve? Besides, many people are fed up already at the age of 40 and are ready for retirement, depending on what kind of job they have to do (so, the most correct approach would be to have profession dependent retirement age, because it is not the same to be a university professor and a badly payed physical worker who has to run through some dirty oxygen-free metro every morning at 6 o'clock and get a miserable salary in the end of the month...). But in overall, today with the fact the computarization increased the productivity enormously, one worker today replaces many workers just a few decades ago, and so, also from this perspective, I don't see,why we should work longer, if in overall we are more productive today than we were decades ago.

even if they bring Macron down, it will be back to the same issue in 2 years when oil price will hover near $160. Inflation will be bad, so govt has to pay more retirements funds.

If Brits did the same thing about this invasion of undocumented young men landing on our shores from safe countries perhaps the government would get of its rear end and actually stop them coming & deport those here . As usual were saying plenty online which no government ever reads & not one demonstration outside Downing st or Parliament has been organised so why not just shut up about the invasion & sit back while they take over . All we get are the ignorant woke cancel culture yobs demonstrating. We deserve it, were doing what the French did when germany invaded France in WW2 , sitting idly by complaining but doing zero ..

It was about pensions one first moment. But thanks to the form of pressing through his reform, Macron provoked the Fourth French Revolution against the abolition of democracy. And as Macron's Master, Klaus Schwab, is still fit and alive, every Nation in this World, should follow the French example. Since March 2020, there are enough good reasons, and 2030 is soon...

Ask the reporter how much the Russian war is costing French taxpayer, or his covid experience, blackballing Russian oil , He clearly has not operated in the best interests of his ppl (a commonality shared with fellow NATO members) he will be President not much longer, the bad part is Macron gets to pick his own replacement.

I also like how these protests have brought people together under the national flag; here in America people burn the national flag in protests, but over there they venerated it!

Robert McDonald
Robert McDonald - 15.04.2023 15:41

I live in France and I can tell you that it's partially down to the lack of dialogue, there was no vote, no referendum, no nothing. And THAT is where there's a huge moral dilemma, the government's job is to serve the people and in return the people serve the country, NOT the government. The people, in any country, whether they believe it or not, have the power, its just about their ability to gather in numbers and be seen and heard by the powers that be. Its a back and forth, if the government aren't put in their place and reminded who's in actually in charge, they will keep doing whatever the F they want to push their own agenda. And Macron has a long history of doing whatever he pleases, it's not on any more. The people have had enough, the man has been bought out and has been pushing private interests' will upon the public time and time again. So no, take note and dont be afraid to gather in numbers, organise and demonstrate against your government if they carry on this way, because it will only get worse if you don't remind them of their elected responsibility to the state and it's people
