First to comment!!! Yea!!!
ОтветитьVolume is very low in this video
ОтветитьGood video. Thanks Damon.
ОтветитьGratitude to me is linked to God (outcome out of my control)
Pride is linked to my personal actions in achieving said goal.
Words create visualization
Ответитьlike this as a clear technique for re categorizing experiences . really like the idea of looking at what the word power presupposes and seeing how for me this could lead down a path I would have rather not taken. Being able to take the experience and develop a different understanding or meaning to it that is affirmative and based in my reality is empowering . thank you.
ОтветитьSo really James is a nominalization... even ŵithoutgetting into physics as the behavior of waves acting like particles but only in identity
ОтветитьThere is a tension in Pride, a grasping, you're holding onto something, narrows your focus. With Gratitude, there is a release of tension, a letting go, it is relaxing that feels related to expansion.
Ответитьomg thank u Damon ❤
ОтветитьHi damon thanks for the content uou provide .i watch your vidros but i stuggle taking action on the stuff you teach ive gotbthe information but i wont take action on the techniques you teach how do i overcome that ?

ОтветитьNouns that you cannot touch can be categorized as abstractions
ОтветитьYou can distinguish between the denotation of a word and its connotation. The denotation is how it will be defined in the dictionary, and its connotation will be the meaning it has for you based on your experiences. For example, mother means a very very specific thing in the dictionary. However, your experience of your own mother is different than my experience.
The flavor of connotation makes it easy for a word’s meaning to change over time. For example, ‘want’ used to have the prevailing meaning of lack. In today’s part, it has come to mean something you desire. “ what do you want?” “ I want for nothing.”
To me, the main difference I feel between feeling proud and feeling grateful is that with the first I view myself more as the creator of something, and with the second I feel more like the recipient of something. for example, suppose I helped a person on the side of the road change a tire. Afterwards, I could feel proud of what I did, or I could feel grateful for the opportunity to be helpful. Then again, there’s probably some overlap. Maybe I can feel happy about having done a good deed, and there is both pride and gratitude.
ОтветитьWhat you said about self validation was significant. I think if I could do a good deed and only be able to interpret it as an opportunity rather than an accomplishment, I would be less “tethered.”
ОтветитьI think the reason affirmations are weak is that they may not be rooted in solid accomplishments. To do a good deed or to apply yourself diligently to complete something of value serves as a basis to feel good about yourself. That might be pride, and that might be the grist of an effective affirmation.
ОтветитьIf you have heard and appreciate the expression “freedom is not free,“ then you will recognize that power is a very necessary and good thing.
ОтветитьI'm so grateful for this video! Loved it ❤
ОтветитьMultiple mind blown 🤯 moments. 👏🏻
ОтветитьThis is amazing, thank you. I have 'always' felt low self-worth, but when I look at some of my actions and feelings as valuable, it changes the way I feel.
