If you could only shoot one FPS from now on, would you pick 24 or 30?

30fps is total "crap" since some is real 30fps, some is 29,97, some is called 30 but really 29.97 and hughly confusing. Same for 23.97 and then you have the confusion die DF or NDF. 25 and 50 is straight forward an is what it says and makes life easier for "normal" people :) ... Maybe someday they will standardize it to true 24 and 30. I´d love to see that ... Thanks for the video anyhow!

Ayyyyye it looks like the PR2 is not a dead idea after all, at least he plugged it in the last portion of the video, so must still be a go in the very far future.

It’s such a shame though because the Rode Wireless Pro has somewhat filled that void. It jam syncs accurate timecode into the Deity TC-1s which then can be used to jam sync timecode into my BP-TRXs and voila I have a timecode workflow that totally works.

I’ve used the TC-1s and BP-TRXs in conjunction with the Rode Wireless Pro TC and it works perfectly and they stay in sync. I’m not even sure I’ll be willing to get in the market for the PR2s by the time they come out as I’ve invested in the Rode system and it totally works perfectly alongside the TC-1/BP-TRX workflow…AND it’s 32 bit Float internal recording 😮

Only con is you have to manually plug the Rode Receiver into each Deity TC-1 individually (via L-in) and you can’t use the app to sync timecode or it will differ by a few seconds from the rode receiver (clocks off just a tad bit, only a few ticks though) so don’t try to jam sync one tc-1 and then use app to sync all or it’s gonna be off a few seconds from the Rode Receiver, plug them all manually.

Also you HAVE to make sure you change the TC-1s back to L-OUT before you plug them into your cameras or the cameras won’t read the timecode.

I’m still hopeful for the PR2s but not holding my breath as Rode has saved the day in that regard.

What is better to release the PR-2 or not to release the PR-2?
