summary:when you are child you communicate your inner voice as you grow up your inner voice gets blocked by inner doubt .for eg- " I want to make cryogenic rocket engine but that is not financially possible blah blah " but child me would say "I will be a rocket maker and fly to space and beyond"

I face a different challenge. Those that have chronic health conditions or physical disabilities don’t always have the privilege of listening to their inner voice. My dream is to become a pastry chef, but I have nerve pain in my hands that is so bad that I can’t even hold a knife a fork to eat some days. I’ve found adjacent work in the industry but it’s not the same.

For me it's not social. It's financial.

I am trying my best to avoid this question. Whenever I try to answer it , I get lost and try to escape reality . It was the question that destroyed my peace, happiness and made me feel depressed.

Beware : if your gonna go chasing your inner voice because you don't want to die before at least trying, remember that on your way there people have stood next to you. If you take them for granted and never notice they were there, you will realize you will now die with a regret you can no longer make right : the chance to thank them and tell them how much you loved them. You might realise your dream might have included them, too, but because they were so good at supporting you, you could never tell.

Be careful of not chasing your dream. Be careful of forgetting your loved ones behind while you are chasing your dream.

Im 30 and I dont know what I want to be. I started a Janitorial company 9 years ago and still doing the same thing and makes $80K CAD per year. Im not happy but I wish I know what I want so I can slowly switch to it.

I'm shocked people don't know what they want? My problem is I DO and I want it too badly...it's painful to wait. And the worst thing, is getting it. It's been said "The only thing worse than not getting what you want is getting it and finding out you still aren't happy." I totally agree. It turns out, you may know what you want...but one can never know what one needs. That's the struggle!

This question is unique for each person. There are questions that we can ask ourselves that will help us on our own unique journey. A channel called Align and Inspire did a nice video on this. I found it helpful. She breaks this huge question down into smaller questions, that are not so overwhelming.

I'm a creative but not an entrepreneur and have struggled my entire life. It's too competitive since everyone in thecworld decided to be a creative in 2008. I know what I enjoy but I stress over rent and need a job to cover it. I finally land a boring low paying corporate job that rent takes 80% of the paycheck. I work in entertainment and see people passionate in their jobs and happy but I don't know what to ask for anymore. I'm exhausted!

I use the same methods. There's 2 ways to find out what you want to do. Well there are many ways but these 2 do the job.

1) You're going to die in 3 years (me imagining age 27 because well, the 27 club). So what are you gonna do?
2) You're a goddamn trillionaire, you have it all. So now what do you do for the rest of the time?

For both questions the answer is same: Music and Movies primarily.

Try this method and see. I know some of you who watched the video, had the answer in mind already. But dont lay it off. actively or passively pursue it. keep the fire burning. self doubt will always be there, so might as well use it as a trampoline and jump high af!
