BEST OBS Studio Settings For Twitch Streaming & Recording (EASY 2023 Guide)

Hey. I can't get my desktop sound working on obs. What am I doing wrong?

6000 Kb/s is way to low for 1080p 60fps. Twitch alows up to 8000 Kb and you should definitely use that instead. Otherwise it's better to reduce the output resolution so the picture is less blurry.

after doing the test It said my video bit rate was 900. and only streams at like output resolution is at like 640x360 is it because iternet is bad? cos Iv never had trouble with my internet. sorry man Im new too pcs. your videos have helped so much recently

Hey man loved this video and really appreciate it! I was just wondering if you could answer a question about my audio tracks. No matter what I seem to do I can get them to record correctly. After recording I only get my microphone audio recorded or just the desktop audio recorded any ideas on what could be causing this? I do have the correct audio tracks tick I've tried messing around with it but cant seem to find a fix, Thank you :)

Hi friend I am having a problem with OBS. When I record my game, as I play on my game I see no lagging but then I open the obs video I recorded with OBS and the video its lagging.

Can you make a video how to change OBS from streaming to recording it or am I missing something?

I've noticed some streamers on Twitch achieving incredibly clear and non-pixelated 1080p60 streaming quality. Do you have any insights into what might be the reason behind this exceptional level of streaming quality? I've seen many streamers with good quality streams, but this level of clarity is something else.

hello im having some trouble trying to get my info for what settings to use after putting in the service, server, then stream key. I'm streaming with kick, and it keeps telling me "failed to connect to any servers" and says to check my internet, but there's nothing wrong with it.

The only options I have are CBR, ABR, VBR and CRF on encoder settings for Recordings. which is best and why dont I have CQP?

Good video Cody! If I DO have a 4k monitor and it defaults to 3440x1440 after the optimization wizard completes, should I change my output resolution to 1080p since that is the max setting on Twitch? Right now, its default is showing output resolution at 1719x720 under the video tab you explained in your great video! Thanks man!

I installed OWN3D but when I open obs there is no OWN3D

I have a question tho cause I got a bit lost at the Output > Recording > Encoder section. There you mentioned to put the CQ Level at 17 and adjust accordingly but I have no idea what I am or would be adjusting, or what's being used as a frame of reference for this adjustment :P

Hey, so I got a problem in obs studio where I was streaming but the volume bar for the game wasn’t moving. Do you know what happened? Just to let you know I’m using windows and I updated obs studio to the latest version.

I stream on 1280/ 720 because I stream using my TV as my monitor . So would I us Advance or Simple and it's x264

I know this isn't related to the video but uhm how do I buy bits on Twitch TV for the mobile browser because I can't find the bits section nor can I chat when watching a streamer. I'm on Android btw
