That video doesn’t show how Craniosacral works really. She’s a massage therapist and is adding that a particular technique from CST can help relax your client. You need to get a good CST Therapist, have some treatments to really experience it for yourself. I didn’t believe it could be effective until I experienced it for myself and then trained. There’s a lot more to it than meets the eye. I trained through the Upledger international school in Ireland in Adult, Paediatrics, pre Conception and Birth and the results are Amazing. All about developing trust between the Therapist and Client. We also train in SER Somato emotional work and have referrals from Psychotherapists and Doctors who realise it goes much deeper than any drugs or talking.
We help the client connect to their bodies Inner Wisdom and that’s where the real work starts. Each person is so unique so the Therapy helps them find what their body needs in their sessions.
I’m a nurse, Midwife,Reiki practitioner and Homoeopath and have found that every Therapy has its place just depends on the individual and what they need and are ready for. Hope that helps clarify.

Is “relaxational” a word?

I've been looking into certification for cranial sacral techniques. I'm so so disappointed. All I've seen are opportunists out to make as much profit for themselves as the gullable public allows. So much b.s. classes, prerequisite courses, etc....all jumping on the bandwagon.
So what?! So a person hangs their certification on the wall.
In depth research on nerves, bones, and muscle tissue that one can themselves dive into thru many medical works, nutrition research, etc is the best....along with years of hands on massage experience.
Minimizing the life stresses is the first place to begin. Educate the patients on this along with nutrition and how the body works.

It's cerebrospinal fluid, not craniosacral. Further, while massage of the small bits of muscle and connective tissue at and neat the base of the skull can relieve stress and headache, that is all that such a technique can possibly do. The skull is fused, you cannot affect flow of csf noninvasively, and increased blood flow is minimal at best due to the extraordinarily harmful effects of inflamation in that region.
