Found that I always learn something cool every time I watch your video. Very useful stuffs. You're a master
ОтветитьGreat post 👍 Thank you. I just downloaded your.dry file of your node tree but don’t know how to use it. Can you explain how to get it in DaVinci Resolve so I can use it as my node tree? Thank you 🙏🏻
ОтветитьDarren, Thank you very much! I appreciate that you take your time for such highly valuable content. I hope you keep it up, cause I can learn a lot from you 🙂
ОтветитьDarren, you are good! Just love your content. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьThank you very much,I learned lots of methods from your video!
ОтветитьCan you explain what your export setting is? Because I had the same workflow as you teached with the sma encode tree and color space but the rendered video is washed out
ОтветитьThanks Darren! I realized a color space mistake I was making thanks to your little bit in the beginning! 🙏😊
ОтветитьThese little tips (ripple node changes to current group, different modes for watching split views) while talking about your topic is really helpful! Thanks for sharing these!
ОтветитьSo helpful...my goodness. I need to read the manual more.
ОтветитьI was expected auto vampire teeth with the gothic color grades.
Ответитьdamn dude. i learned so much in just one video. thank you. I can't wait to dive into your content.
ОтветитьI'm binge-watching your videos since yesterday that I found you, Darren. Paused this video to say a huge thanks! Won't write more, as I can't wait to continue watching!
ОтветитьI guess its the only channel that shows actual color grading knowledge
ОтветитьNewbie question: How do I import the node trees into a project? For that matter, how do I make them a preset, or otherwise readily available to any project?
ОтветитьExcellent thank you
Ответитьloved your tutorial - NEW SUB
ОтветитьI've learned only one thing from this video but it was still worth to wach it! Thanks!
ОтветитьHi Darren! Why Gen4? Gen5 is wider and you can choose Gen5 in Camera Raw settings for BRAW. Thanks
ОтветитьThe link to the node tree takes me to your email subscription page. I'm already subscribed - is there a way to get the node tree? Because I'm already subscribed - I don't see an option. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhats the button you use to slide over each clip for referencing between them?
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьHi Darren, thank you for all your insights and advice. Loving your content. I wanted to ask you, as an experienced colourist, if it is helpful or even necessary for you to have something like a Calibrate ColorChecker as a reference alongside a slate shot to get your grade started? Apologies if this is something you may have covered already or if it's a noob question. I'm new to shooting in a RAW workflow and wanted to start with best practices. Many thanks. Zane
ОтветитьCan this method be applied even if I used different cameras in the shoot?
ОтветитьThanks. That was amazing. Learned so much.
ОтветитьLove the Channel, great lessons with no bullshit. Congrats
ОтветитьGreat video. You talked about other videos showing "fixed node tree" but you've got so many videos in channel I couldn't find it. Could drop a link to point me in the right direction please. Cheers
ОтветитьHey Darren, just checking in. Keeping being awesome with these videos. I remain your fan, don't ever forget that 😉🙂
ОтветитьHi Darren, amazing insight, thank you so much! :)
I couldn't find any video where you explain in detail your entire node tree. Even in the christmas video, that is more in depth, there's no mention of the second set of parallel nodes. The first one is for reshaping light and making some local changes, but what about the second one? Also (except the 709 CST) what's the purpose of the serial nodes between the two sets of parallel nodes?
Where could I find a complete explanation of your node tree? Thank you so much! :)
Amazing helpful video ty for making it to show us
ОтветитьHow do you feel about working in the ACES colorspace and workflow?
ОтветитьHey Darren, I'd love it if you could do more on your grading process for BMPCC 6K pocket footage like this.
ОтветитьGreat video! just one question. Instead of use color trasnform isn't better to put at timeline color space the blackmagic film gen4 and work with that? I know you told that you want to work at Davinci Wide gamut but what is the catch if you choose that?
ОтветитьLooking forward to the next one...
ОтветитьAnother awesome video D. 🙏❤🎉
ОтветитьGreat content!
Ответитьan other very instructive tutorial.
While you perform on balancing, I'm discovering new tips and technics from a pro-colorist,
the way to organise NODES, their hierarchies, no fear for CST, all is clear now for the two CST (to DWG, to Rec 709) within the main nodes's architecture...
thank you so much for efforts you've put into tutorials, very helpfull.
All of a sudden you've become my main source of learning DaVinci Resolve,
great teacher
Why do you use color space transforms instead of color DR color managed?
ОтветитьThank you SO much Darren. Blessings to you and all of your business this year! I have been subscribed to you for some time now, and always recommend your video content to anyone wanting to work in post prod over here in the states. A well explained breakdown on how to properly match scenes!
Ответитьgreat tutorial dude!
Ответитьawesome tutorial darren!! Thanks a lot, as a beginner this is very helpful.
Do you have any book recommendations for exploring color correction & color grading?
Called out! Haha. I totally agree though. Getting looks is fun and not too hard as long as you have the time to play. But man, getting every shot to have the same look and charm, especially with different cameras and lighting setups, is where the real experience and knowledge come into play. Thanks so much for this info! Can't wait to try some of these techniques out. I've been practicing for years, but still feel like I'm just starting out.
Ответитьmailing list errors out with no reason for what is wrong
ОтветитьI’m searching where is you color grading course 😑 don’t you want to share more ?
ОтветитьHey Darren,
Thanks for the video, you are an exelent teacher. I have a question though:
What's the benefit of converting the footage first to Rec 709 Gamma 2.4 and then from Gamma 2.4 to Cineon Film Log? Can't you just convert from DWG to Rec709 Cineon Film Log in a single CST?
I think I saw you doing the former on a different video, that's why I'm asking
any reason for not using dci p3 monitors?
ОтветитьI was gonna ask is that beard vs food and the thought, nah that can't be him edit:*meets
Ответить🔥🔥
ОтветитьMore for speed I'll put film emulation on the timeline node tree rather than each clip. What if anything would you use a timeline node tree for?
ОтветитьDidn't expect to see Beard on here! 😃
