Its worth considering, in 1914, invading belgium wasnt the first thought in an ideal scenario they wouldn't have occupied belgium, they would have just walked through but by the time war actually came it was to late to adapt to the fact that france wasnt really ready for war and through the defences was probably a better cboice, of course this is all in hidsight and much of this wasnt in the moment knowledge that could trickle up easilly 😅.
