For a multibillion company like Microsoft, you would think they would engineer the most advanced OS security built in to windows 11. But it's a big no. MS pushes everyone to windows when 2025 hits to end windows 10 and all the security requirements to upgrade your old hardware from 2016 because of TPM 2.0 is just - utterly - worthless. Microshaft is gearing towards hardening security. But windows 11 will fall into the same mud pit of how vulnerable win11 will be in the future. They've been struggling since win 3.1! Lol

he windows defender is fine for most of the time. If you really want to be sure, you get something like kaspersky or bitdefender...?

Defender is still sufficient enough for the average user who don't really do much on PC like myself these past decade.

maybe try recommented profile using defenderUI freeware + folder protection. Should be better ...

Hi pretty new to this kind of stuff but I keep hearing those that you can use Malwarebytes and Windows defender at the same time as you main defense to this kind of scenario... Is the MB and Windows defender is still optional especially when your using the free MB

Kaspersky fucking sucks. I just tried it and it removed 100% legitimate programs like crazy. Including some of them are my own. I wrote them, they aren't fucking malware. Now I have to do digital archeology to find the god damn quarantine and restore all the damage it did.

Ive had 2 versions of Acronis but changed to Macrium Reflect instead because: No subscription that Acronis now require in new versions, Macrium supports core isolation/memory integrity that Acronis refused to fix for my 2 versions i had from them. I'm getting sick of programs going from one time costs to asking for subscriptions, its massive amounts more expensive for the user especially long term programs like Backup. Everything is just more and more planned obsolescence requiring users to buy new stuff all the time. They should have kept the backup and protection seperate with sub only for the protection, i would have been fine with that.
