Impressed with the visuals in this new DLC. Settings are at the end. Most of the scenes are done by reloading the save for consistency (swapping settings on the fly can glitch out), however as a result of that you sometimes get different NPCs. The environment / lighting is the same, any change in the lighting is from path tracing. All of the footage is using DLSS + Frame Generation and the non-path tracing clips are using Psycho. Consider leaving a like and a comment if you enjoy these videos, it helps with the algorithm. Thanks 👍

Ответитьthere are so many issues with path tracing and also dlss in its current state. it may look good in a stable shot. but playing is not great. also the artistic lightning choice in the ray tracing off mode is way better in a lot of indoor scenarios. ray tracing may be great in a couple of years. when dev´s use it in the whole development cycle.

ОтветитьPath Tracing is nice, but we all know that in the future it will be done by IA with much less impact (you need an actual 2000$+ gpu just to run it correctly).
Ray Reconstruction is a hint, they intend to do a full IA calculated path tracing, avariable to mid end gpus.
RT will slowly disappear, RT cores will be replaced by dedicated PT Tensor cores.
Am I the only one who likes the image without PT and RR more?!

ОтветитьI love path tracing but it knocks me down to about 80fps with dlss 3 on which is enough to notice the latency tbh. When I play on psycho RT with this I max out my 144hz monitor and the latency becomes unnoticeable so tend to go for psycho instead.

Never realized the path tracing made such a noticeable difference. For once, I'd be willing to use something like that as normally I don't use ray tracing owing to both its performance hit and that it only makes a small difference. But path tracing... yeah, that probably is worth the hit if it can make the game look THAT different.

ОтветитьGreat but also useless. The textures could have been made in a way to simulate Occulation and Raytracing shadows s its is less taxing to geet good visuals.

ОтветитьAmazing job on editing this, you really found some of the best examples I’ve seen. I’m playing at 1440p and getting 110-150 fps, pretty amazed by how well it runs thanks to the reconstruction and frame insertion. The ai is a big deal and if it keep getting better it’ll be affordable faster than people think. It’s black magic trickery but it works.

Ответитьthere is only point to use path tracing+ray reconstruction as it is noticebly improving the looks, the regular rt just eats tons of fps and doesnt improve the looks as much at all.

ОтветитьGuys, I would like to say do not be afraid to set DLSS ultra performance on Path Tracing at 4k at least. I have the 3090 and thought I couldn't play because Ultra Performance on regular RT looked so bad.
I set DLSS to UP expecting to look like shit, but it was actually pretty good. Of course there are some issues, specially in characters hair, but it holds up surprisingly good. Then for curiosity I decided to turn off Ray Reconstruction and everything looked TERRIBLE. I think it was because it was raining? But my god it was unplayable. The moment I turned on Ray Reconstruction, boom, everything looking good (Again, good as in pretty good but not excellent). Finished the game again with PT and was a treat.
Awesome, now all I need is a NASA PC :')

ОтветитьWhat resolution does this run on? I assume 4k but is it native 4k or upscaled? Well the Ray Reconstruction works only with DLSS enabled as far as I know, but what DLSS setting is this? Quality? Or a different one?
Ответитьtbh its not that impressive outdoors, looking at this i mostly see Cyberpunk is an amazing looking game at its core with out ray tracing in some cases even better like the truck windshield wtf is that ray tracing looks like fake glass.

ОтветитьPath tracing outside looks good, but I'm not sure I like it in certain scenes indoors. It takes away from the intended artistic design.

Ответитьi played in 2020 with 2060 super... looked good without TR. now 3080 ti, RT ultra.. but no path tracing, its never enough!!!

Ответитьppl say this is impressive, i don't agree it kinda looks better in some scenario but not always, the biggest problem is the massive drop in performance... i would keep my fps.
i realistically see this being used if we get actual performance/price uplift with next gen gpu, as it is now only ppl with 4090 and likes can have a playable experience.
