I teach music in the public schools in SD, CA. I super appreciate your inclusion of the music story! Music changes lives for sure. Also, btw music changed from an extra curricular to a required arts curriculum around the year 2014 in the US. It is so much more than something extra, and I'm so glad the government finally recognized this. 🙌🏻

The first story is written by OP like they’re trying to be inspiring from the start despite not knowing if anything would come of her invite for a beer. In the end of the story it’s only been 3 weeks. It doesn’t seem believable to me, and I don’t like how she talks to the commenters like they actually know her?
I’m very sure that it’s just a made up story. Like “I’m so quirky and silly and that led me to finding my true love!!!”

Oh my goodness. The “ring” story has me in TEARS 😭 This is the SWEETEST thing I’ve ever heard. This is ABSOLUTELY meant to be.

My mom and her siblings were in the system after her parents died due to Illness and my uncle was the only one adopted, two years ago he reached out and reconnect with her. It was amazing having her brother back.

I definitely believe in falling in love with your partner over and over. My guy, Richard, has been many different people in my life since he came into it. He started off as "neighbor" we had a small group of later teens to earlier 20s friends that all lived at the complex. I was 19 when I met him... getting ready to go to a rave for NYE (and I was dressed very.. uhh.. scantily clad) he overheard me talking to my friend about when my bf at the time was picking me up and from across a crowded room he said "oh it sucks you have a boyfriend, I was going to ask you out sometime" we left it at that but did become friends and he was always respectful. I ended things with my bf I had because I became very busy with school and just knew he wasn't the one. Richard and I became closer and as time passed he had gone from neighbor, to friend, and eventually boyfriend. We have each grown through our relationship and had some incredible times but the thing lately that has made me fall head over heels all over again is this.. in December of 2021 my niece was born, some things happened with my sister (my nieces mom) that resulted in my niece needing to stay with family. We found this out when she was 3 days old. Richard stepped up to the plate with me without hesitantation. We jumped into action to help her and brought her to our home at 6 days old. Since she has come here Richard wakes up early with Boo (thats her nickname) and takes care of her before working all day, he spends time with Boo when he comes home too. He's been absolutely amazing to my niece, loves her like she's his own. Seeing him like this has made me plunge deeper into love than I ever imagined I could be and has made me so happy. I had always pictured the transition from neighbor, to boyfriend, to husband but this has made me so excited for the version of himself I had never thought of.. dad. It'll be our 7 year anniversary this month on the 14th❤

for the ring story, i think it was very sweet of him and not sus at all. he dropped off the ring and left it at that. he didn’t pressure her for a reward and he went back to his life without being a creep. beautiful!
