Personally, 50mm looks so natural, so natural as it s boring
Ответить"Who he is and what he's doing" - you destroy all photographers with a definition of all popular lenses. You should be on Wikipedia mate!
I watched tones of tones pov street photographers vids (maybe 200 vids) and 85mm lens is my favorite for all of categories especially cars - North Borders example.
I think iPhone 15 Pro is enough for street photography especially with 35mm option in the circle. Main lens in iPhones looks weird, too wideish that I hate in my iPhone 12 without any optical zoom
Sharpen cut on explanation as a Katana. Excellent! Thanks, Mr. Jeong!
ОтветитьThe 85mm is much more versatile than the 70-200mm??? Yeah, dont think so!
ОтветитьThanks Hyun, that was helpful and straight to the point.
Ответить85mm looked the best.
ОтветитьOf course you're using a full frame camera. Now if you're using a crop camera, that changes things a bit.
ОтветитьHi! I just want to ask if 80d is a full frame or crop? I'm a beginner 🫣
ОтветитьYou do understand that portrait means a picture of the FACE??
ОтветитьThe 35mm says “I am in this place”. The 50mm seems equally weighted between the environment and the model. The 85mm emphasizes the model and says “This is who I am”. The 105mm and 135mm says “Look at me because you can’t look anywhere else”.
ОтветитьThanks for the video.
When I shoot portraits with a full-frame camera, the focal length I use depends on the type of portrait I want to take.
35mm – large group portraits or environmental portraits
50mm – full length or ¾ length portraits
85mm or 90mm – half-length or head & shoulder portraits
105 or 135mm or 180mm – face shot
This was short, sweet and jam packed with information. Definitely subscribing
ОтветитьJobba the hutt Lmao
Ответитьwhat produces an image that is most accurate to human perception of a face?
ОтветитьFF go 50, crop go lower😂
ОтветитьI love the 85mm...even next to my 70-200mm its my favorite lens. I dunno if I keep getting lemons or whatever but I tried the Sigma Art 35 and Nikkor 35mm and Jesus the focus breathing is so bad on both. I come back home and like 15% of shots are focused properly which you can't tell on a tiny screen. 24-70,50,85,70-200 if I miss a focus its because I sneezed while holding a camera. The 35 is so damn sensitive even if I stop breathing it loses focus. I really wanted to have that lease and shoot with it but it was more trouble than help.
ОтветитьI have my 1st good camera. It came with the 50mm f1.8 STM. I'd like an 18-200mm.
Ответитьreally good comparision. chosing between 35, 50 and 85 mm is not primarily a technical decision. You senetnce "this is more about where he is and this is more about who he is" .... tells almost everything. great
ОтветитьGosh I need a 50 1.2 and a 135 1.8…
Ответитьget this guy to 100k right now
ОтветитьYou probably won't see this but I have a question about the 35mm focal length.
Would a 35mm lens but too close of a shot for around 70cm or *arms length* away from the subject ?
So which one between both 35 or 50 will be the best for walking around street model mostly like instagram model …so we can get whole body….much details….& wide angle please?
ОтветитьHey, I think taking those pics with a 35mm fish eye lens would be pretty cool! Not conventional for sure, but more artistic! Thanks for all the neat tips!
ОтветитьI have a question. I have a crop sensor body. So if i wanna get 50mm shall i buy 35mm? Or just get the 50mm? I heard for crop sensor if i get 50 mm it will become around 80mm??
Let me know what shall i do
Are people now comparing DSLRS' bokeh to iphone portrait mode? 😂
Ответитьtook only my 85 out today for the first time on its own and quickly learned to appreciate it
ОтветитьSo if I have an APS-C would a 35mm really be closer to 52mm? And so on? Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video my friend !
ОтветитьGracias 🙌
ОтветитьFor me portraits will probably always be beat on a 50 ... and street photography on an 85.. .. but maybe that's also because I just love primes to much
Ответитьi’ve shot with a 85 before, shit is amazing
ОтветитьThanks for doing this video!
When doing product shots, which focal length would you recommend?
Also, what about a good focal length for video?
Thank you.
Cheers.
helpful!
ОтветитьWhat about 22mm camera lens for portrait? Would you recommend for Portrait Photography
ОтветитьAnybody know what 50 mm lens model I need for a cannon rebel t6?
Ответитьi think the lens with wide range of focal length is better
like 18 to 150mm covers almost everything wide angle portraits telephoto etc.. such single lens can do a lot
YOU BEAUTIFUL
ОтветитьAmazing work
ОтветитьЧувак, ты жосткий. Каждый раз твои видео смотрю, ничего не мямлишь, всё как надо говоришь. А ты хорош. :)
ОтветитьJust straight to the point.... Perfect video...no bla bla bla... love it 👌
ОтветитьI don't usually drop comments but man! This is the most precise explanation that I wanted. THanks more power.
ОтветитьGreat comparison of all three!
ОтветитьSir what about prime lens for cropped sensor ? Should I go for the 50 ?
ОтветитьGood 👍
ОтветитьWhen he says 50mm is probably the first prime beginners should buy, I'm assuming he's talking about full frame. Does that mean if I have a crop sensor camera, should I still buy 50, or 35?
ОтветитьExcellent explanation. I bought a 35 mm but I find it difficult to get used to it, so a 50 mm could help me more. I mostly record videos btw so I used zoom lenses, never experiment with primes.
