When is POE2 Coming Out?

Sure, they would like to hit christmas but the realities of game development say otherwise. 50% of the recent interviews had Jonathan say "we did not implement/solve/decide on this yet". With only 6 months left for those and alot of other systems having to be balanced once players start testing I hope they will take their time. I say 1+ year to release.

Well it took GGG 10 years to finish PoE1, sooooo 2027 I'd say.

ggg will delay the game if it's not ready. I do not know if it's ready.

My guess is they will do a jan/feb 2025 release.

Lets hope they delay it long enough to copy last epochs trading system.

If it's purchasable to get in and the beta runs until release, then i don't care for a release date. I'll just be playing it.

I would biy a closed Beta Pack Just for Support PoE2. I mean iam saving huge amounts of Money by Not playing Blizzard Games anway.

i wish there will be a alpha test before beta.

While the initial amount of players will be small, including only those with significant time or investment, if they're letting in 500-1000 people per day at random as well, and it runs for 6+ months, that's like 150k keys given out. I don't know how "closed" this beta will be by the end.

I genuinely think diablo 4 will help bolster path of exile sales. So many people didnt even know poe existed until d4 launched, flopped and lost its player base to poe. Theres more poe advertising (by the players and content creators) in diablo itself than anywhere else. Now when i see d4 being advertised it just reminds me that poe2 is coming soon.

My guess is February 2025 for PoE2 if they continue with a PoE1 league releasing in December, but a December launch does seem a likely target depending on how they handle this years league schedule and how the beta goes.

A release window in December 2024 would allign with the expected release of D4's first expansion VoH as well. I think if there are no mayor complications early december is the optimal time to realse PoE2 to the public

Hopefully its not decided by GGG yet, but rather. Its done when its properly done. I don't want to wait, but I will. I'm not sure that repeating a league in POE1 that just happened in POE2 is a great Idea. There will be some amount of players that play both games and that will feel bad to them.

Tri, I believe you are right about a December release. I commented about this on your summary video but Johnathan clearly said the phrase "launch year" in the Ziggy Q&A. Knowing how specific the wording is in POE, I don't think Johnathan would say "launch year" about a beta release. It's possible i'm just projecting my desires on it but i hope not. Lol

Edit: How is this for tin foil hat. Johnathan said that he doesn't really understand the equations for magic find and needed to revisit them. This league has been dumb for MF. So, what if right now we are creating a data set for him to use when relearning the equations. He specifically said he didn't understand the diminishing returns. Well the wildwood has pumped the iir\iiq percentages to the max. I bet we are assisting in that venture as we speak

I hope at least Last Epoch next month keeps my interest till this releases.
