Meh. Am I the only one who didn't care for this? It was such a boring short. The only things going for it was it was pretty, and had Jason.

I like quite a few of Anderson's films, but a lot are just blah, like this one. I felt like my time was wasted. I dont enjoy that.
Rushmore, The Life Aquatic, Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr Fox, and even Moonrise Kingdom are all good. Even kind of like Bottle Rocket.

The shorts made by Wes Andersonbare are so brilliant. I enjoy them.

There is a car race like this in Italy, it's called " mille miglia" * if you want to see.
* "mille miglia" means thousand miles, "molte miglia" many miles.

Funny how including the name of the director can influence peoples opinions on films.

Why do people think he died when on the phone he says "I'm fine, obviously"? and before "I'm glad I crashed, I could have got killed" etc I guess you can interpret it however you want. Either way, love this mini movie!

I don't like Anderson for his fast camera switches, which is lazy, but i love him for everything else!

Why is Cavalcanti's "shot of the local booch (hooch?)" green, while everyone else seems to be drinkign a darker wine or soemthing. Is there a symbolism/significance to his being green? Or is it just creme de menthe, and that's all it is?

Steering wheel on backwards? Who writes this shit? If an old nardi wheel was put on backwards it would still work just fine and look completely out of place/obvious.

This guy is a genius! Every movie reminds me of a movie style long forgotten. Like the mood created by the famous painting of dogs playing poker.

A movie on a stage as a play, or a theme with color schemes right out of the 1930's.

I'm still trying to figure out Asteroid City. A movie of a road runner cartoon style set, in a 1950's backdrop.

Thank go Wes Anderson exists

The cinematographical set where this corto is filmed is the permanent one in Cinecittà, that represent a medieval city in Italy, here adapted in a little mid '50s italian village.
