Corsair iCUE Link 3500X RGB Case Review

Nice build and good detail in way of exploring the case

I dont know why this case is getting so much hate, its actually really really good.

I love Corsair, I have this case, but didnt buy this version with all the extras - its a much better price to me

The cheaper option of this case makes more sense to me, too much expensive addons with this version James reviewed

You can buy the case without the fans etc, the version James has comes with a lot of extras, but you can save money

This is a good case, airflow is great, many companies forget about this all the time.

I noticed some issues with this and James seemed to spot most of them - I dont agree the white color clashing is an issue,. its barely noticeable, even if its a little bit ‘greener’

I do like this case, seen some other videos on it, but the lack of removable brackets to support radiators seems insane to me in 2024

That build looked fantastic, but am I the only person now who is finding white builds a little mundane and boring there are just so many around

The case looks good, not sure i would spend this kind of money on it with such good competition around

The vibes I get from the case review is that this is a budget product and it shows.
I've felt that Corsair pretty much stopped innovating years ago, NZXT has stepped up their game and Antec is back. Competing with those 2 brands as well as Lian Li, Phanteks, Fractal Design, Hyte, Montech, etc. I wouldn't even consider Corsair in contention with those other big brands.

There's PSU shroud fans, and they bob the PSU shroud to add a fan on the bottom but they didn't bother to add cutouts to make the PSU shroud mounted fans more viable.
And having the PCI screws on the inside of the case but having the PCI bracket sub-assembly rotatable for vertical mounting resulting in the PCI screws really hard to access is some rather annoying derp from Corsair's part, might be pretty annoying for the builder/owner.

Plenty of airflow, gets my thumbs up for that alone - the mistakes arent that big a deal to me, anyway

Some good design choices and some weird omissions which I wouldnt expect on a case this price.

For them prices i expect cable grommets as standard.

The cable routing and eyelets are good

I am surprised people are complaining the hub only supports Corsair fans - its cause they use sensors and have unique design to support the hub. could run other fans without the hub I guess

The magnetic hub is pretty cool, Love that kind of thing, less screw holes too

This is a seriously expensive chassis - some nice things with it, but it is overpriced.

I live in a really dusty environment, so front IOs are my preference. My current favorite case is the MonTech King 95. I do like the Corsair Carbide Air 540 as I still use dvds, but corsair seems to have quit making it.

Would anyone recommend this over the corsair 4000x?

I am a bit in love with Corsair iCUE and how to set up all the products in RGB perfectly and some of the fan options are class leading, would make for some great builds in this case

Thats a lovely looking PC build guys - love white cases with matching components - more companies need to make white graphics cards however

Putting the riser together with the fans on the power supply casing will be a problem for sure.

This review would be exhaustive if it weren't for the absence of the btf motherboard and its associated cabling organization. WTF?!

At least they are including Link Hub and some decent RGB fans, with good hardware support for EATX

Why are Corsair letting their material quality slide so much in the last 2 years? ive noticed it. They used to make some great quality cases with thicker metals and were rigid

Expensive and the panels could be a few mm thick

That green tint on the white edge doesnt bother me but I can see how it could annoy.

Love that LCD screen CPU block fan cap. Wish that was included as default.
