Fantastic review! I’m on the verge of purchasing a pre owned 2021 Defender 110 SE in immaculate condition… any significant pitfalls I should be aware of or if it’s made it to 48K miles with no issues, feels like a good buy? I drove both the 4 cylinder and 6, the 6 just felt much better to me.
ОтветитьTires are too small..
ОтветитьSounds good. BUT all LRs suffer from poor reliability. A six week experience isn’t enough of a trial. Prices are horrendous as well. My top of the range HiLux is and will be so much better for a similar price.
Ответитьwoah!!! amazing!
ОтветитьI think the scary thing is when most of us can afford one at 6-10 year old reliability and cost of components of the e-supercharger and stuff
Ответитьstick to my old Landrovers.
ОтветитьFun video Harry, enjoyed your offroading and didn't think you'd ford water that deep but well done... I don't like the motorbike-like pannier either, looks pointless and the exterior overall still hasn't grown on me. Got one next door, see it every day and it still hurts (prefer the old ones exterior-wise) while the interior looks very lovely, non-truck like and comfortable. I could definitely live with one (but I wouldn't enjoy walking up to it, at least not in daylight lol)
ОтветитьHow much of the engine noise is pumped in through the speakers?
Ответитьngon lành
ОтветитьSo much tech in that engine to go wrong.
ОтветитьI had the opportunity to drive the 130 Trek this year in Texas. With the same engine. It was insane what it could do on the mountain. It just went and never got stuck. It was kind of funny to have a winch but not really use it.
ОтветитьLoved that drift on the grass. What a nice vehicle.
ОтветитьThanks for the professional introduction. It was one of the best videos providing accurate information about the defender.
ОтветитьCould someone please let me know why are these so expensive as used? In EU the cheapest 2020 110 model is like 55K EUR, whilst the new one is 67K .. That's not much of a depreciation that's typical for LR ..
Ответитьawesome review, loved that you pushed it throught the corners to test it properly in the wetty and cold, props Sir.
ОтветитьToyota Land Cruiser is the N1
ОтветитьDISCOVERY 6
ОтветитьI heave 1 New defender 90 arsom.4x4 the best 1 ❤
ОтветитьNot bad
ОтветитьFeeling ASMR for this video, love it!
Ответить😁👍
ОтветитьI have people take pictures of mine same color spec
ОтветитьThe Defender has become what the original Range Rover was. It’s comfortable on and off road, you sit up high with great vision, it’s got that farm ruggedness that can be hosed out and you can use it almost anywhere, on the farm and at the theatre. The new RR is more of a super luxury car now. Sitting lower and nested in its interior. Quite different to the original RR. This Defender is a real man’s wagon, compared to the over refined super fine interior of the RR. I love mine! It’s not an old defender. They can’t be made anymore due to modern day vehicle requirements. Its not a disco either. It’s better than that. It’s an old-new RR. But Land Rover are keeping that a secret 😮.
ОтветитьThe only thing that’s holding back is a terrible reputation of reliability. I really wish it was as solid as the Toyota Land Cruiser when it comes to reliability.
ОтветитьThis is interesting looking at the video 2+ years on. I'm in Australia and these are only seen in the city as urban cruisers. I don't know how they are selling to your famers in the UK but they are very few and far between (never seen any), out in the bush and outback. As for farmers here using them - forget it! Just too expensive and overly complicated (80+ seperate Microcontroller/CPU modules), and that mild-hybrid, Electric supercharged and turbo charged engine is a nightmare to fix in the bush. You said it - it's not the new Defender it's the Discovery 5. They're "Toorak Tractors", over here (Toorak being a wealthy suburb in Melbourne), in same vain as "Chelsea Tractors" to you. Harry, it's lighter primarily because they've done away with Body-on-Chassis and moved to Monocoque (like a road car).
ОтветитьSuper vedio....a valuable one 😊
Ответитьjust picked up a 250D XS Edition 120 yesterday. traded in my Lamborghini LP560-4 Spyder for it so currently adjusting lol
ОтветитьLooks like you just exceeded that 900mm wade depth for a second :-). What happens if one of these goes into a 1000m wade depth ? What is the real extreme limit and what happens after that? Does the Cabin flood or is it all good to the Windows? Does the engine continue to work? Also how are they stopping the exhaust from not being affected as that is certainly not placed at 900mm or higher?
ОтветитьI’ve heard Land Rovers break down a lot. That their always at the dealer for this and that.
ОтветитьI love a dirty Land Rover. A clean one just looks wrong. It is meant to be dirty!
ОтветитьIt's ok!
Ответитьdisappointed now that China now owns 50% of Landrover
ОтветитьCan’t beat the old Lany, the new ones are far more capable with great tech. I just love old skool.
The D200 ain’t great the car needs a good lump of power. I recently did a video on a series 1 with a V8, an absolute hoot to drive.
Now that’s a review!!! Instant follow
ОтветитьI absolutely love my 2023 Defender 110 X-Dynamic! This is by far the best Defender review ever!
ОтветитьToo much electronics will kill this beauty very fast
ОтветитьDidn't even make it up the hill climb on TFL truck channel.
ОтветитьReally like the vehicle but see a lot of down time at dealers on new vehicles.
ОтветитьMost of these, throughout their lives, will only challenge the speed bumps at the super market parking lots.
ОтветитьI'm thinking about a Defender. I think there are fewer options in the US, no diesel, for example. (Hopefully, the steering wheel is on the "correct" side. :) I love the designerly styling. Hard to resist. The inline six seems good. I wonder what the AWD parameters are. No one ever explains that. And does it have actual LSD front and rear or it's some brake based system?
Hesitations: Reliability, of course, and high prices; also, I do think the Defender is too big. The 110 is about the same size as a Jeep Grand Cherokee with about the same poor mpg. Seems like LR has about 5 mid-size SUV models - confusing.
That's how SUV should be tested. I enjoyed it , thanks
ОтветитьConvincing me to consider a defender makes you the best car reviewer!
ОтветитьGreat review!
ОтветитьLove this motor thanks Harry
ОтветитьThis video is guaranteed not to miss the boat.
ОтветитьIs it wrong to giggle at Harry bringing one bale of hay in this premium SUV? Nahhh…… snort 😅
ОтветитьGreat video! Huge Land Rover fan! I personally have a Discovery SE7.
