I dont quite get how the timing worked out. So Astrid crashed when her plane fell out of the sky from the solar flare. And apparently an unspecified amount of days later a long haul flight crashed? So did the jet take off after the solar flare and then crash, or did the jet stay airborne for actual days after the flare. It doesn't work out either way, and the plane couldn't have crashed the same day as Astrid's plane, because there definitely wont have been survivors still alive at the crash site when you go to rescue them.

Having never watched or played this game begore watching this letsplay, I thought that was Will at first. Upon first seeing the old woman, I new she was not trustworthy. Will definitely had the better start.

Did you get the chance to kill the bear in the spear update? WAY MORE FUN!

If not you should go back to the 2nd chapter with Jeremiah and redo it again. The whole thing is completely different. You still have to do the run to the dam to get him meds but then after that it's all changed. You don't have to do that fetch quest to learn the basics of hunting and survival anymore and there are a couple new tasks that are much more interesting instead.
Then there's the bear hunt, but with the spear. It was freaking amazing!

Super woman who carries 30 kilos of various bardas on her back and a man on the shoulder for several kilometers in the snow !!!!! Episode 3 politicized, where the woman is superior to the man, she consumes less energy, is almost never hungry, nor thirsty, she has a map with the key places to visit and can be located in real time on the map !! The "savior" who left her sexist husband to be eaten by wolves, because she was tired of living under the yoke of the dominant male, etc etc etc .... I even thought that one moment, she was going kill a grizzly bear melee !!! Nothing very new at the map level, except for a few places where one or the other object or house has been added ... Note also, the meeting of a pastor, he is white, so chubby , cowardly and useless ... !! What will episode 4 be in 3 years ???? Transgender accompanied by a progressive African American ?? Struggling against KKK ??? The villain leader will be called Donald ?? We will do Ramadan with Trudeau ???? Episode 3 finished in 3 hours in Hard mode ..... Quests that look a lot like episode 2, no new maps, a revolver a few more victuals and .. That's it !! 3 years of waiting for that !!!!! Moders would do 1000x better, alone in their room, in 6 weeks !! Too bad, The long Dark is the ONLY true survival game existing in the PC world .... But it is not finished and .... Never will be !!!!

I watched FightinCowboy for the first two Chapters of this series, but as he hasn't and may not continue playing this game, I thank for you doing so yourself. You seem to have the same game-playing mindset as FightinCowboy does, so you are a good replacement. You even sound alike, voice wise, so despite that subtle difference, and the fact that you were willing to steal all of Molly's food even though you'd have been dead without her finding you and dragging you back to the house....except for that, you're a pleasure to watch. So, thanks for that.

As far as my theories for the door locks, I'd definitely say it was for the convicts that she was protecting from, and I'd say that the man in the basement was probably her husband, as the man in the photo that you briefly picked up, looked a lot like him. I'm also going to theorize that he died from sickness as it looked as if he had sores on his face, rather than wolf marks or anything else. I'm also going to theorize that the sickness that was quarantined in Perseverance Mills, may have found its way to Pleasant Valley. It's just a guess, as you played this 2 months ago and I'm slowly catching up, but we'll see...won't we? :) See you in your next video!

Is it me or are video games progressively getting worse? Or have at least utterly stagnated? Look at Alien Isolation, that's five years ago. Half a decade. Compare instead Mario Bros original to Sonic the Hedgehog, that's 2 years.

The sequel should be akin to ‘Brian’s winter’, Astrid and Mac have to make their way to two separate centers of population, lots of temporary shelters and caves on one side, a frozen city on the other.

One thing I don't understand: "The houses became too cold," but there are all those clothes in all of them that could add more degrees to the temperature which makes it perfectly liveable both in sandbox and storymode exploration. You aren't from here and even you know this. The people living in these houses ARE from here and it looks like they'd have known that layering up in the clothes they had would keep them warmer. >.>

IMO the reason why you cannot pick up stuff in the farm house is because you would kind of steal it...
