For wave, I would also recommend getting the rhythm of 1 slope, at all speeds. Most levels that use wave also use full slopes for the gameplay

All of this is oddly beautiful life advice??? Like, genuinely, you should rescript this outside of Geometry Dash and it would be super good self help

Being patient was a major problem for me, I remember a while back I put 2500 attempts into InsanitY by Serponge and I only got 62% like sure I played it for a week but I should have persevered instead of dropping it

However, on the other hand, I've beaten a lot of varied levels in the meantime, including Sakupen Egg, so maybe it was worth it

I feel pretty good when comparing myself to spaceuk.

Wait, I'm trying to beat Windy Landscape, but I understand the mechanics. And if you do hard levels copy them use start POS and practice it, like me trying to make 30% on Windy Landscape consistant

Upon further inspection, I think if you compared yourself to spaceuk again, you'd feel just fine.

Cool advice although when it comes to jumps, I’m more of the opinion that if you like a level enough and you know you can beat it within reason, then it shouldn’t matter how long it takes.

If there's one thing I love,
It's ship and slope gameplay.

My sight reading is kind of bad imo, because sometimes I think the dash orbs is an orb that you jump on, and it's pretty annoying. And whenever I play an online level I don't see the orb/spikes sometimes because all of the decorations. And because of that, I can barely do a hard level. Sometimes I get stressed then I die. And that discourages me alot

what should i do in the weird middle part between insane and demon? im pretty close to beating every main game stage (except for the demons) and most stages havent been too bad, do i just kinda explore online for some insanes to do until im comfortable enough to go for my first easy demon?

Watching this is making me realize why I had such a bad experience beating cataclysm. I was so stubborn on beating cata for my 100th demon and first extreme that even after not making progress I still stuck with it for like months and didn’t play any other levels. My skill set is fast paced gameplay so I really struggled with the first wave and the ship part at 63. I even stopped playing gd for a couple months cause I got tired of grinding the same level over and over again.

im getting better 300 hours in and ive beaten every main level thanks for the tips. still cant beat medium demons

hey Aeon, so... basically, I am on 60hz mobile so I'm really struggling with easy levels because I don't have enough time to react and the way I do it is basically, just beating (on safe mode) on like 0.2x speed and then slightly increasing until you reach 1.0x and turn the safe mode off. While it can be nerves-wracking, I am using this strategy to go for harder levels like Death Corridor Old or Devil Vortex (also I use layout mode on Devil Vortex because its making a lot of lag and while its easier to see, the gameplay isn't changed and if I get really close to 1.0x)

im trying to beat windy landscape (jump from nine circles), and i thought it was going to be way too hard for me to beat after beating nine circles as my hardest the same day

the second day and i somehow already got 45-100

edit: 3rd day (the day i wrote this comment, like 30 mins later) i got 34-100 :D 99% of my attempts go to parts before 34 tho lmao (also my hardest 5 days ago was problematic, i wonder if i can eventually be a top player...)

edit 2: dude 30 seconds later and i got 27-100

With aeon talking about how sticking to one skillset isnt that good, but should still be a great achievement, there is also the fact that you might thingk you can do other hard demons (i.e if you beat nine circles then try to do future funk, then you wont be able to beat it)

step one : get 144-360hz monitor

step two : beat silent circles

for some reason i 2 weeks ago my hardest demon was like easy demon problematic and for some reason im just popping off and now i have got 63% on fire temple with like 500 attempts. Weird :/

I used to be really kinda frustrated how I have been playing for like 7 years and still my hardest is an easy demon but the reason is, because I had a short attention span and that I never really played actual levels apart from random stuff I search
