So he had no locking mechanism set on his phone

Why he didn't copy the login code and credits to a notebook app phone or even in the his phone it self lol he would have time coming near to tha people watching the trap spot

If the show was real enough, they would've needed to also hack cameras if they were installed in the office.

There's two things that doesn't make sense on this scene. One is no one noticed Elliot going for Gideon's office, yes their were distracted, but still, some where still on the outside of the meeting room when Elliot was standing outside of Gideon's office, which is pretty weird.

Second is no one, not one single person stayed at their post trying to figure out how they hacked into the TV. As an employee at this kind of company, wouldn't that be the first instinct? To trying to get as much information during the attack as possible? Not stand there saying "oh, I can't shut it off, they hacked the smart TV etc". I would be running to a terminal to see what I could find, not seeing a message that a lot of people were already watching.

But ok, it's a TV show and the plot must go forward.

Gideon is a really nice guy. Elliot is my ideal ethical hacker. I love this series mostly because it's true to Cybersecurity commands. But my most favorite series would always be HIMYM.

Man I feel bad for Gideon. He was a genuinely good man, too bad Elliot crossed paths with him

Elliot probably could've gotten away with it by telling Gideon he thought the video was a distraction, and that he was making sure the hackers weren't doing something else in their system during that time.
Also very nice of cybersecurity pros to leave all of their computers unlocked and unattended lol

i always loved how, even from the very beginning, before all the plot twists and elliot actively screwing with the form and medium of a tv show, it's already subverting expectations. We see our protagonist in a stifling corporate job that he hates, only to learn that it's actually a place that's full of good people, and working there is arguably the best thing for him. We see a corrupt and sociopathic yet intelligent businessman like Tyrell and assume he's going to be the main antagonist of the show. Not even close.

Why does he have an iPhone here?

Wouldn't there be a key log software on a company desktop, showing what he was attempting?

Just realized Elliot is like Mort Rainey after he killed people and done his story he returns back to his original character like nothing ever happened

Dude lost his boyfriend, had to lay off every employee at his company because E-corp was making their own security and didn't need to rely on his company anymore, and just found out one of his best employees was behind the ecorp hacks.

Completely unbelievable scene. Even if Gideon didn't notice, someone would have and knowing what they know about Elliot, it would have been obvious...or such a coincidence they wouldn't have cared and secured his access right then and there.

Seems like they weren’t good at their jobs. Even regular employees would be a bit paranoid before leaving their desks where there’s been a breach in security. Standing up and watching the video wasn’t going to solve anything.
