I thought it was a really great idea. We have a koi pond so I think what you did is awesome and creative. I did not really like the blue spray paint. It didn't look too bad mixed with the yellow in the smaller pots. The bigger pots it really cheapens it. If you wanted blue, paint it on fully after priming it. (The white may have been a blend). Point is primer can be colored completely. All in all though, the project far outweighs any color problem.
