As others have stated, Statis lock isn't euthanasia. It's more like a medically-induced coma....which might seem severe but given they are locked in a fight for survival on a hostile world it actually makes sense.
Please do the one where Dinobot sacrifices himself and his character arc in general :)
Another show that has dark Episodes Is Batman The Animated Series and i think Steve should cover it because i feel he'd be in his element with the dark undertones in the show
ОтветитьThis episode always creeps me out
ОтветитьCanadian animation has a history of not backing down from certain topics.
ОтветитьThe MADNESS of Robot On Robot Violence..... The Madness. I Did'T Enjoy ANY of THAT.
ОтветитьTransmutate looks like something from "The Desolate Hope"
ОтветитьThis was my favorite episode. Strictly because of how traumatic it was. "Friend light...Friend dark..." I was sobbing at 16 years of age.
ОтветитьStasis lock doesn't necessarily mean death, it's more like a coma. Transformers can go into it if they become too damaged, as a "last ditch" so that they could possibly be revived later on. It also happens if they run out of energon, and then they can be jumpstarted again, which is what happened to Jetfire in transformers 2, where they find him in the museum and Sam uses a piece of the shard to restart him. They didn't necessarily want to euthanize Transmutate, rather than put it into a sleep mode until they have a better plan
ОтветитьJust to make correct the definition of Stasis in Transformers lore it is actually more a a Hibernation sleep not unthenize/kill that would be Taking It Offline , in this case the Maximals wanted to put it in Stasis Lock which in Definition is the equivalent of it bing in a deep sleep sorta like an a coma which most Transformers end up in if they are completely low on Energon or near fatal injury in Fall Of Cybertron it is stated Omega Supreme had go in Stasis Lock after being heavily damaged by the Og Megatron who corrupted him with Dark Energon and Autobot Medic Rachet not having enough regular Energon to completely restore him, Autobot Metroplex would also enter Stasis Lock after sacrificing Half of his Energon to fully fuel the Arc so that Optimus Prime and the Autobots could get to Earth before Megatron and the Decepticons as the Aligned continuity continued both Omega Supreme and Metroplex revied by a group of Autobots lead by Ultra Magnus who stayed behind on Cybertron to provide protection to both Cybertron and wounded Autobots and ones in Stasis. Another story involving Stasis was when Jazz found Dinobots Sludge who went in Stasis Lock after having his arm ripped completely off bythe Insecticons in an ambush lead by Shockwave who he left for dead it would be in the Comics that Grimlock and the Dinobots eventually found him and with the help of a few other Cybertronians revive Sludge and gave him proper repairs he desperately needed.
ОтветитьYES! PLEASE More Beast Wars! I know this is an old video and even forgotten on your computer But Great Show.
ОтветитьGreat episode. I had forgotten about transmutation. Beast wars was a childhood favorite of mine and had a profound impact on me. Well done!
ОтветитьOh yeah!
Ответитьthe part when transmutate flies: he goes ''fly? FLAAAAIIIIII'' and its funny as fuck
ОтветитьYES DO THE WHOLE SERIES
ОтветитьI hav nostalgia for this show. I watched it when I was a kid. It was a really good show. This was a sad episode. I was really hoping that Transmutate's destructive issue got fixed n he was able to to join the team. I worry that if they ever reboot this show...they will make it woketarded.
ОтветитьJesus I loved this show when I was a kid this and Batman animated series
ОтветитьI want you to do a spirit stallion of the cirranon review
ОтветитьSo, are you going to check out “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts”?
ОтветитьHonestly, rampages scream at the end of the episode fits with that Darth Vader scene
Ответитьcrapston villas is something you would realy enjoy its british, dark and claymation you should do a video on it
ОтветитьI love Transmutate, she was one of my favorites on the show, and honestly, this episode was so heartbreaking. You see Rampage and Silverbolt being the only two people caring about her and trying to keep her safe in their own ways. It shows a more compassionate side to rampage and a more intense and willingness to kill from Silverbolt. I also found out that during the years they have released a figure of her if her stasis pod had not been damaged, and why she looks so skelital like is because she's a fossilized T-rex. There is also a comic where she looks more like a "normal" female transformer, and is actually used as a more autistic character representation. In this comic she does meet Rampage and they have the kinship of being very similar to each other. I dont remember the rest but the comic was really good, and I am happy to see this character talked about more.
ОтветитьYou sure Transmutate is a guy? I dunno, I always got feminine/genderless vibes from them.
ОтветитьI still remember watching this at 6AM before going to school in the 90's
ОтветитьIn this episode's defense, stasis lock isn't euthanasia; it's more akin to putting somebody in a coma. When Dinobot is about to die later on in the season he dies because he refuses to go into stasis lock, which would keep him from dying. This makes Rhinox and Primal's decision less them being horrible bots who just want to kill Transmutate and more them making sure that Transmutate doesn't die or accidentally hurt somebody. That's part of the tragedy of this episode: that there was a way to keep Transmutate from dying, heck maybe there was a way to stabilize their power back on Cybertron and Primal and Rhinox were planning on keeping Transmutate in stasis lock until they got back home, but neither Silverbolt or Rampage wanted to really help them, either out of an admittedly naive sense of justice, or the idea that there was nothing wrong with Transmutate.
ОтветитьGod I loved this show. I had the Rampage toy that could turn into a crab, tank and humanoid and man did I love it. I also had all of the different forms of Megatron from the show. Shit was my childhood.
ОтветитьWasn’t transmutate later confirmed to be a female. And it’s transformation would have been a raptor.
ОтветитьI had a rat trap and a transmutate figure when I was a kind yikes didn’t realize how’s idk went into it
Ответитьwhat a disturbing design, and that walking animation is awesomely creepy
ОтветитьBeast Wars had lower quality than I remember as a kid
ОтветитьYes! I'd love it if you covered both Beast Wars and Beast Machines! Both shows are great with their own set of themes!
ОтветитьTransmutate is a female. There's a comic called Beast Wars Uprising that shows her if she wasn't in that damaged pod.
ОтветитьPoor rampage. I think the reason he went back to how he acted before meeting Transmutate was because he couldn't move on. He chose to live in the past instead of moving forward within himself, closing his heart to protect himself from any further emotional pain than the agony he had already felt. that's what I think is why he chose to act like how he was before, because he couldn't move forward and decided lived in the past, not changing anything about who he was prior to meeting Transmutate.
ОтветитьThank you for reviewing this gem
ОтветитьExcellent video. Excellent choice.
ОтветитьThere was this one episode of Martin Mystery that took me aback. In this episode, our heroes, Martin, Java, and Diana are being quarantined and it looked like the Center were about to eliminate them completely. I was here thinking “Hold on, I thought they're on the same side”.😱
ОтветитьSteve, you need to find more of your own lost media
ОтветитьI found both Beastwars and Reboot got darker as they progressed. Both started off with humour, and realized over time they didn’t actually need it and went full-on dark.
Ответитьwas this video made last year?
ОтветитьThe entire episode was dark, but created a sympathetic character (two if you include Rampage's attitude) that you almost identify with and every time I see it it still has that emotional gut punch. If you haven't seen Chris McFeely's video on Transmutate it goes slightly deeper into the character and how they (never given a defined gender and referred to as "it" throughout the episode) were portrayed in the episode and even later the unofficial link to both the autism and neurodivergent communities. As dark as it was the "hopeful" scene when Optimus suggests using Transmutate's death to arrest Rampage, but Silverbolt says; "No, in this moment we are brothers" shows that he knows the pain Rampage is going through after both had befriended and cared for the damaged and "imperfect" Cybertronian, even if neither were willing to become close and merely accepted what made them like Transmutate
ОтветитьKING KONG ADVENTURE FUCK
ОтветитьLove beast wars
