Don't forget storage for the VHS tapes and the 6-disc changer stereo 🤭
ОтветитьI live in a small to (some? Most?) apartment in SF. Storage is rough. This video had me reorganizing my kitchen to put some of my appliances away though. I’m lazy though,
So let’s see if they stay away after the first use 😅
Thanks for you video. Very useful. If you’re living alone, it’s easy. But if you have children, it’s very difficult. 😅. Thanks for your tips anyway. With love, from Bangkok, Thailand. ❤
ОтветитьAmen
Ответить"...farmhouse signs, which aren't really a mistake... but let's be honest, they're kind of a mistake..." 😂😂You tell 'em, brother!
ОтветитьI am instant potting that much.
ОтветитьSuggestions for those of us with ADD (we'll forget it if we don't see it)?
(We'll buy things 3x because of this ..)
Every time I’ve bought a tv stand I eventually regret it because we end up with an open back. Even if I only put one thing on each shelf, you can still see the cords in the back.
ОтветитьGot hit with the truth re: Xbox games and Instapot 😩😂
ОтветитьFarmers sign mistake… hahahahaha! For real. All those signs yuk!
ОтветитьUnder bed gets so dusty. Not the stuff, but the top of the storage piece.
Ответить❤ your vids
ОтветитьOpen shelving has actually been around since kitchens were first created. They are essential for people who are serious about cooking. They are not necessarily the best place to put a bunch of stuff that you don’t use, but I think it can create a very homey and cozy atmosphere where you have items that are specializedand geared toward a beautiful meal with family and friends. Don’t diss open shelves as being trendy as they are not they are very historical
Ответитьyou are hilarious😂
Ответить...the more i watch nick, the more i love my apt. and then there was the girl who did not store her large dildo while zooming. remember to put them away.....!
ОтветитьCan you please do how to use dramatic jewel tones in small rooms. Im into academic aesthetu...but i also love plants, so i probably have the boho vibe going too. Im ideally suited to living in a castle. Old European grand house. But my budget is more just the nooks and crannies of the big house...i think i could still decorate with the aesthetic i like, if im going for the 'cosy reading nook' vibe for all the rooms. Im happy to use gold paint, chinoisery wallpaper, etc, the rooms are small but the ceilings are high...any mistakes i could look out for on this path?
ОтветитьI am sorry not to recall the designer's name who shared this tip...She stacks larger medicine cabinets for storage. It makes a graphic appearing mirrored wall area. Perfect for over a bar cart for glassware. In the kitchen they're great to magnify, brighten and expand the space, and store spices. In the bathroom for cosmetics, and yes, medicines.
ОтветитьI need help with my modem and routers... nothing looks nice
Ответитьcan’t stop smiling at you
ОтветитьYour designs are boring. Cookie cutter with zero imagination.
ОтветитьWhat about storage for the 8-track tapes ad cassettes! You are very funny! Love your posts.
ОтветитьAbsolutely with you on the pedestal sinks. A rental I lived in for 3 years had them in powder and main bathroom. I HATED it and wasn't allowed to change anything or hang shelves. AWFUL! BLEH! 😅
ОтветитьI feel very called out lol
ОтветитьThis is excellent. In addition to creating peace, you can use this wisdom to get rid of excess. I ridded our home of excess, carefully curating each room and we finally have a peaceful, cozy home. This was not easy for me because I like everything. I graded items from REALLY, REALLY LOVE IT to REALLY LOVE IT to Really Like It to Like it. Then I kept the REALLY, REALLY LOVE IT items and donated the rest for others to love. Don't think of your give aways as a waste of money. Instead, think of it as generosity to others while doing something good for the environment. I love Nick's advice. PS. Nick you've helped me so much- thank you!!!!
ОтветитьYeah but also if minimize your items help to look more simple and organize
ОтветитьMe and my husband argue about this all the time. Clutter literally gives me anxiety, and he is the KING of clutter. I’m constantly trying to pick up his stuff and shove it in closets, under the bed, literally anywhere out of sight and then he gets mad that he “can’t find his stuff”. Well sir if you would have put your stuff away in the first place you’d be able to find it.
ОтветитьReally great video. Pretty glad to find out I'm doing most of those tips already.
ОтветитьThe advantage of open shelves in the kitchen is ease of access, when you are cooking you want to quickly grab whatever spices you need.
My philosophy in kitchens is that it has to make you want to cook, having everything useful exposed and ready to use makes that decision so much easier, and having items of quality such as nice jars and copper/iron pots and pans makes it so much more beautiful to look at!
Tips are good. But you carry on a bit to much. 7-10 mins would be better.
ОтветитьTV guides lol, good times.
ОтветитьI love this concept. The issue I have is my spouse has a “computer museum” that takes up max closet space. Also. There’s a bit of a hoarding tendency i.e. hard to get rid of things, broken things are here and we’ll fix them someday…. But I love him. He’s good people so - what’s a girl to do?
ОтветитьLaughing so hard at the TV guides.... definitely remember those
ОтветитьI disagree about the kitchen bit about appliances. If something has a regular use, hell if you use your insta pot three times a week, it has a place on your counter. If you use something once a year, for an example a meat processor or that one mixer you only use to make batches of powdered sugar, sure, store it away.
But "hiding" appliances with regular use creates more work for no reason. Sure, you may think it's just pulling it out and plugging it in, but if it is in a cupboard, it leaves its place on the counter free... and then you're going to put stuff there. And then it soon becomes a whole hassle getting the appliance out because you need to rearrange the space every time you use it.
hard disagree. so you buy a bookshelf for your living room, any only store " a few chosen books" for that shelf and "store the rest"????
ОтветитьI love how differentiate between things it should be stored and things it should not. Excellent advice
ОтветитьYour frankness and humor are spot on. 😂🤩
ОтветитьI feel so seen with the vitamix, toaster oven, air fryer all on the counters 😅😅😫 lol
ОтветитьDECLUTTER is the Universal Word.
ОтветитьWhy did we ever move away from medicine cabinets? Big mistake.
ОтветитьTHANK YOUUUUUUU!
ОтветитьClutter is not only unappealing but it makes perfect dust collectors and a cleaning nightmare. It is so overwhelming that it can take over my life. I'm to the point of wanting throw stuff away. It is too overwhelming to even think about a yard sale.
ОтветитьThese kinds of contents can be really helpful in so many ways that it will not be outdated. Thank you, Nick! We wanna get more tips from you. 🥰💯
ОтветитьHoly shit, I have the same west elm tv stand and cabinet as you... I also have the shoe bench ajd the coffee table that match. Validating as hell!!
ОтветитьThat’s definitely my issue
ОтветитьSorry. I didn't like this video.. we know we need to hide things, but there was not much ideas. 😢
ОтветитьI don’t understand how you can have a clock that takes the whole wall it is like you are a bit blind and need a massive clock to see the time. I personally think that a round mirror or an interesting art wall piece would have looked much better
ОтветитьPeople just de-own stuff. Not store it.
ОтветитьWait, if you live in the house and you have a remote for your TV, you want it put away for whose benefit? Just in case someone invites themselves over? Or what? Do you think the person that lives in the house is bothered by the TV remote. You sound NUTS.
ОтветитьI really like seeing my things. Obviously you need to choose what things you want to see, but I like my home to feel lived in.
