Thank you guys for supporting and watching the video!
A few things!
1) the roof has more support then what is seen in this video
2) I did use okay sand but since it has been switched to construction sand for the dust bath areas
3) used chicken wire because this isn’t their main protection just to keep the chickens inside it during the winter
Thanks again you guys are the best🐥😁
Excellent video🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьVery flimsy if a wind hit it , it will be turned inside out up side down.
ОтветитьNice idea
ОтветитьHow to build some thing like this please teach us❤
Ответить❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьThanks for video👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьLike👍❤🙏
ОтветитьHappy Chickens Happy Life. I am sure those chickens R loven that new build. GREAT job! Thanks 4 sharing! Cheers ! 😎😎
ОтветитьYou did a fantastic job! Your girls 🐔 are so blessed to have your family!
ОтветитьMy chickens love the swing.
ОтветитьBeautiful ❤ your chickens looks healthy...love the coop
ОтветитьGreat job. I sweep my roof off if a heavy snow comes. I'm out there doing their water and food so its no big issue. Glad you added more support. Snow gets heavy. Happy chickens!!!
ОтветитьLooks fantastic. Nice job. Love the use of natural materials for the roosts. I did the same in mine but not to that extent. Hopefully you don't get heavy snow though. Little worried about the roof durability. Also may want to add more branches to the ladder since the gap seems to big for their little legs.
Ответитьgood stuff thanks for the ideas.
ОтветитьWoW wonderful ❤👍happy chickens 🐔🐔🐔
ОтветитьIt is difficult to take this video seriously when you used chicken wire. Your hens are so susceptible to prey with only that wire. It rusts and breaks easily and possums and raccoons can literally tear it open. Please make sure you protect your hens with hardware cloth. Your girls deserve a safe space. Critters will attack during the daylight...just chased a bobcat out of our yard today and we live in the a city area.
Love your playground idea. It is brilliant. Taking notes on those aspects of it. Was really unique and well thought out. Please use that same ingenuitiy to keep them living long healthy hen lives. 😊
Awesome job! I love all the extras that you added for a fun time chicken playground! Very nice!
ОтветитьThe roof of the coup does not seem strong enough to hold more than a dusting of snow. Otherwise, your new coup looks interesting.
ОтветитьPretty cool. I'm gonna make a tutorial video if my coop I'm wrapping up details on. I think a lot of people will be pleased.. Its definitely above and beyond. Love ur coop. Good job. Follow me to keep updated when I make my post!
ОтветитьI LOVE IT! ❤ Creative, caring and considerate while also being functional and inexpensive! PLUS...it looks great!!❤
ОтветитьAdd 1/4 inch hardware cloth to deter rodents as well
Just edit you do not have to remove the chicken wire. She want to use it somewhere else.
Dont give up on the swing. My chicken love theirs. I little heavier rope though
ОтветитьThere is an opening in the gate please be careful if you have animals that can go in through the opening above the gate.
ОтветитьHeavy snow on plastic roof? Collapse?
ОтветитьHave you ever done a cost analysis of raising chickens yourself vs buying end products in stores
ОтветитьNice job! Mine love their swing, but I did make a small one when they were chicks, so they've grown up swinging, and they still use their big girl swing. I hope your girls like theirs soon.
ОтветитьHappy chooks 😁
ОтветитьYou are my kind of chicken owner nice place
Ответить❤😎HAPPY CHICKENS 🐔 😊🎉
ОтветитьLove it, great run! Looks like you might have to support the roof more for the snow 🤗
ОтветитьThis is so darling! Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьThank you for giving us some ideas! You have a really nice set up for your chickens.
ОтветитьGreat ideas... I'm curious, what did you use to hold the roof panels on? Thanks for posting. 🎉
I also wanted to mention that the large flat oil pans sold at Lowe's and Home Depot make great containers for sand bathing.
Why do chicken coops only have 2 doors?
Because if they had 4 doors they would be chicken sedans.
WOW!!! Love it!!!!!
ОтветитьAre you sure that roof will support snow over the coop?
ОтветитьGood,,i like
ОтветитьPrediction #1: They will dust bathe under the coop where it is dry and not in the tires. Ditch the tires. Replace the tires with a log. In evenings if it’s not cold dampen the log and surrounding area. During the night his will attract grubs and bugs. In the morning the chickens will have breakfast.
Prediction #2: They will enjoy the new roosts. Every week or so change the location of at least one. They will appreciate the variety.
#3: I’ve had a hen who enjoyed the swing, but the vast majority do not use it.
Chicken wire: You know what’s best, so just do it. As you yourself mentioned, chicken wire keeps chickens in, but doesn’t keep predators out. The metal at the lower level will keep out some predators, as well as the wind. Should a predator gain access the chickens will be more vulnerable since they’ll be trapped in an enclosed environment. While the weather is warm enough for them to free range, do your flock a solid and put hardware cloth on top of the chicken wire. You won’t regret it.
Diatomaceous Earth, as you mentioned, is perfectly safe in the open air, so long as it’s food grade. When I apply DE in the run I do wear a face mask, preferably KN95, because my face is so close to the dust. Also I mix it with dirt in the run (not the enclosed coop) at dusk when my chickens are in the coop.
Best wishes.
I love this video! Thank you for sharing. I want to make something like this for my chickens. I love how you care for your chickens! The tire dust bath is great! Have you seen them us it yet?
ОтветитьIt’s beautiful😍 nice job. They’ll love it🥰
ОтветитьLove this
ОтветитьLove it! We are in Vermont and building something very similar. I saw someone use a wire hanging basket with hay in it!
ОтветитьTerlihat ayamnya senang sekali didalam kandang yang baru🥰

ОтветитьI like it, I was thinking about enlarging our chicken run, now thanx to you I have a better idea of what I will be doing. I love your channel, keep up the great job.
