You didn’t have to make an automation clip for the slides - use the wrench icon and go to polyphony, set it to mono or porta+mono, next drag the end of your note into the one you want it to slide into and finally adjust the slide using the job

You could use the recorded clip as a one shot, that would save a lot of time + you'd have the slides (portamento)

For the glides, There is a glide function within the piano roll. If you press on that triange at the top right corner of the piano roll, create a note, and move it an octave down, you will get a similar effect w/ less effort

I watched this tutorial and finally tried it, and also had an epiphany like 2 sec ago, why didn't you just equick render the main melody as an audio clip and put automation on that? makes it so much easier cus u can just keep the automation at 50% and do pitch bends from there
