What a joke of a man! I moved with my fiance and both of us have always supported each other. During the pandemic I lost my job and I never worried because I was with him. Now we are married and he always supports me financially because he earns way more than me. It is good not to depend 100% on the man because we dont know what can happen (divorce/death/economical crisis) but what this man does to this poor woman is sad

My wife is Korean and I would never put her in a position to work multiple jobs while I do basically nothing. Totally unacceptable. He tells her to not spend money on her or the kids but then he spends money buying cotton candy. Basically pitting the kids against the wife and making her out to be the bad guy.

The Patriarchal society is evident in this case. Korean culture is known to look up to men on almost everything that's why some of them grow feeling entitled to do things their way without thinking if anyone is hurt or having a hard time because of them. Work culture also expect women to quit their jobs to work 24/7 at home and still expects their wives to care for them when they get home (sounds worse than corporate slavery). Childcare requires BOTH parents to be involved and not just one parent.
