ОтветитьI love how Danny is just dancing on the island
Ответитьthis shit bangs! shame danny elfman is a fucking freak
ОтветитьDanny Elfman is a genius
ОтветитьOur paperboy across the street shot himself with his dads gun, who was a jerk. I played OB and so many other 80s bands loud in my garage that sounded cool but had very negative lyrics l can see years later.
ОтветитьÓ, SECOS E MOLHADOS ALI Ó
ОтветитьRemember this song from back in the day it got air play on 91x San Diego (back in the 80's)
ОтветитьThis album is a masterpiece.

ОтветитьLmao I had this playing while doing online job searching and it just put me on edge and made me super stressed out.
ОтветитьGod's angels are watching over me, so yes, nothing bad ever happens to me.
Philippians 1:21 For to me to live [is] Christ, and to die [is] gain.
Kind of amazing how much this looks like an early Tim Burton movie. It's got big Beetlejuice energy.
Ответитьi shouldve been that rubber duck
ОтветитьNever heard this? Where have you been?
ОтветитьDanny is pure genius, not one band sounded anything like his. Super unique in the day. People loved or hated OB.
Got to work on one of his studios...super cool guy.
Don't ever be shy about your learning curve, which is graded on a curve by the public anyways, because later, looking back, you will say, I am my best me now.
ОтветитьWhy should i care?
ОтветитьThis is a certified hood classic
ОтветитьNothing bad ever happens to me
ОтветитьI like watching him dance in this video
ОтветитьO Oingo Boingo sempre será uma das melhores bandas do mundo 💛
ОтветитьI skipped them for years because I generally don't like new wave & wrongly thought they were "just another new wave band." It's now clear to me that they were on another level entirely.
ОтветитьOingo Boingo is wonderful.
ОтветитьWhy does this song skip?
ОтветитьIt is just me? :) I hear the sound of hotmail messenger 😮😅
ОтветитьI can't decide which song I like the most... this is top five... screw movie soundtracks... come back boingo and not just Halloween 😢
ОтветитьWhat is Danny doing
ОтветитьBrilliance in song and visual 🙏
ОтветитьNothing ever happens
ОтветитьIt makes me sad that I'll likely never see an Oingo gig or see Danny solo due to being in the UK, and that absolutely sucks.
ОтветитьWhy should I caaare ?
Ответить"Nothing bad ever happened to me." This is what Danny Elfman wants his female assistants to say in court.
ОтветитьI fucking miss the 80s so much. Best. Decade. Ever.
ОтветитьI’ve always wondered why Oingo Boingo made these little shorts, can someone tell me why
ОтветитьSuch an underrated classic. If you grew up in Southern California in the day, this band was HUGE. So strange that they filled huge venues here and small clubs everywhere else
Interesting phenomenon
Welcome to CA folks. Enjoy the ride.

ОтветитьIf i ever won the lottery i have them reunite and pay them 1 million each to play at my party! Cash no taxes!
Ответитьi wonder if the part with the heads on plates is a metaphor for the upper class being cannibals. that whole sequence seemed pretty sardonic. they looked grossed out by it at first, as if it was a confrontation or critique laid out in front of them, as it's served by a man perhaps mockingly saying to them, "nothing bad ever happens to me", but instead of allowing themselves to think on it they just accept it. in the end, this is what they know they are and what they want to continue being. "why should i care?" they say. to truly acknowledge and care about the lower class' suffering is to acknowledge that you, as someone with a great amount of privilege, are actively participating in a system that perpetuates it. accountability has no foreseeable upside for you. so dig in, say it isn't your problem as you directly contribute to it. Why should you care about the people who are suffering at your own hands?
or maybe it's just a silly scene with people eating heads on a plate idk lol or maybe it means something else. and, to be clear, i don't think this is what the whole song is about, i just think it's one of the facets you could explore regarding the topic at hand. capitalism and USA culture is no doubt a huge contributor to this whole attitude, though, seeing as it's hyper individualistic.
all this said though, as others have pointed out, i do think part of the song is also acknowledging that not caring is basically impossible to avoid in some ways. if you were worrying about everybody's misfortunes all the time you'd be absolutely drained mentally. bad things are happening constantly. i don't care about other people's misfortunes as much as i'd like to, honestly, but i try to care when it counts. in this society it's hard to balance anything, really.
