I’m active duty in the US… retire in 5 years, I want to find a way to move my family to Sweden. All of what you explained sounds beautiful. Especially the humble culture.
ОтветитьPeople who follow trends are puppets. Amazing how much people don't think for themselves, instead opting to have life 'how to' dictated to them by media, opinion, etc. Brainlessness breeds brainlessness.
ОтветитьSweden = broken English + #1 rape country in Europe
ОтветитьI see some similarities to the german culture.
ОтветитьI am leaving as soon my studies are finished, its good here not great.
ОтветитьThat is the same mentality as in the Netherlands. Act normal that is good enough. Funny.
ОтветитьNorthern lights comes to mind when I think about Sweden
ОтветитьI have never felt more at home than when I visited London. My sole life goal is to live there one day. So thank you for fueling my fire!
Ответитьthe English can do without Multiculturalism thanks, it's gone too far now, even the old migrants think so.
ОтветитьI'm Australian & once spent a winter working in Northern Italy. When it wasn't snowing it was overcast or foggy. I found it quite depressing not seeing the sun for sometimes two weeks at a time. Also, most of the year back home we wear light clothing most of the year. Wearing layers of clothing for six months of the year was a drag for me. In Italy, I worked outdoors part of every day. Long sunny days are the life for me!
ОтветитьAs an American who lived in England for a bit, tall poppy syndrome was an interesting and very obvious social phenomenon to observe. It's a way to keep people in line and from getting too big headed. By contrast, in the US capitalism, aggressive ambition and keeping up with the Jones' is the norm. The stress and superficiality of so much of American culture has never resonated with me. So some of the Scandinavian mottos, like having just enough and not too much sound wonderful and prioritizing of things that really matter.
Ответитьseems like Sweden is much a better place than anywhere else.
ОтветитьSounds like my perfect kind of place
ОтветитьKeeping up with trends and the weather/sunlight situation are the main reasons I don’t want to move back even though Sweden has so much more of a social network as a society. I am more of free spirit and don’t want to have my style evaluated and looked down on. I have sunshine and bright days almost every day and that makes me feel good.
ОтветитьCan people have a self suficient life living in north? How agriculture can be done in cold weathers?
ОтветитьWill you be able to give your kids the same good upbringing that you had in Sweden? Thats the question :) When its not all about you, the perspective changes.
Ответитьyou left sweeden because of the 💩💩💩💩🦧🦧🦧🦧🐒🐒🐒🐒
ОтветитьSweden seems to be real and down on earth. Bragging a national sin lol true! Sweetie come to America and then you will appreciate the culture of Sweden. Our reality is made of both negative and positive this is how gods decided for balance.
ОтветитьWhen discussing countries, fashion and style are typically among the last aspects mentioned in relation to culture. Coming from the UK, we don't emphasize our style as a defining feature; instead, we focus on individuality, which stems from our inclination to question everything. Similar to the French, English people don't tolerate nonsense, and we approach life philosophically. Despite enduring challenging times, especially during the Second World War, we maintained a good sense of humor, a trait well-known among soldiers.
It's disheartening that the conversation often centers solely on London's style, as there is much more to the UK. It's a complex and diverse mix of cultures, making it truly unique. It's essential to look beyond the superficial aspects like fashion trends, which are often shaped by media influence. Unless one is robotic or indoctrinated, blindly following trends is not the norm. Understanding a country involves delving into deeper aspects such as diversity, cost of living, sustainable farming, art, and music.
While personal style may reflect an individual, it's not the foremost topic on a Brit's list of priorities. English people don't prioritize discussing clothing as the first thing that defines them. Instead, we value and discuss more substantial matters such as diversity, the cost of living, sustainable agriculture, art, and music.
IKEA and Volvo. RIP SAAB.
ОтветитьMy God sweet and makes America look like a mad Max hellscape.
This country is destroying my mental health. I have to get out of here.
Having financial stability access to health care. Those things are unthinkable in America
You may want to be open to the possibility that you will become bored in London, or at least want to experience living somewhere else.
I'm very similar to you. We've all heard of digital nomads, of course, but a friend introduced me to the idea of being a "digital SLO-mad" - meaning, that instead of moving from country to country every few months, we want to stay put for maybe a couple of years, knowing however, that we will move on to a new place eventually.
For those of us who get bored easily, life is too short to stay in one place for a lifetime.
Even though lots of things have changed in Sweden over the years it is still one of the most peaceful and beautiful countries on this planet. For some reason some like to make the world believe this is not the case. You have to wonder why and what they gain from this bs. Sure a soccer mom and her husband from our daughters childhood was murdered a 5 minutes drive from where I live but it was a mentally sick Swedish guy that did it. In many other countries on this planet stuff like that and happen everyday not to talk about all the wars going on so Sweden is pretty ok and safe still.
Ответитьsnow only and cold
ОтветитьI'm Irish and I've been in London many times. Great city but I'd much rather live in Stockholm.
ОтветитьInsta bulshit
ОтветитьIt's collapsing Lgbtq woke shithole.
ОтветитьAbout #3
Much of Swedish society is oriented around large corporations, rather than small businesses.
If i have to choose between london and sweden. I choose Sweden any day. I'm from Belgium.
ОтветитьFirst image I remember is the center of Stockholm with the Royal palace and the boats. Then I see the sweetest people (in all honesty, I've never seen people like these anywhere). Then there is driving on the E4 early in the morning at the entry in Jonkoping with the Vattern lake on the right side and the city just in front. Then there is Eskilstuna, beautiful place but occupied by people I'd rather not meet anymore.
ОтветитьMass immigration of Muslim men of fighting age
ОтветитьIn Finland is the same. You cannot brag about anything you have accomplished or it will backlash immediately.
ОтветитьMulticulturalism is the biggest reason to leave Sweden. The cities are overrun with third world people.
ОтветитьWho I think of Sweden, I think of IKEA !!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThe first negative part I was thinking about oh yeah jantelagen and then I hear you saying it at 2 mins 🤣.
ОтветитьMy country(Canada) is a boring country for dating.
ОтветитьIt’s cold and dark for months. Lived up there for a year. Noway, the daylight change will make u crazy,
ОтветитьTainted white women that's what I think they might be white but none are pure
ОтветитьWHO THE FUCK CARES
ОтветитьSweden is outwardly benevolent which is a narcissistic mask, beneath the surface it's fascistic and deeply supremacist. Step out of line at your peril. "No one is better than anyone else because we are the real master race and no one can be better than that" Oh, and you give your kids to the government at the age of two for indoctrination. H***r youth vibes.
ОтветитьSweden needs more Muslim migrants...
ОтветитьFirst thing that come in my mind for Sweden: the gorgeous blond girls.
But they feel like hard to talk to...
You moved to London for the WEATHER?? :D
ОтветитьAs a German, my dream is to go to Sweden one day. It’s so beautiful ! 🇩🇪🤍🇸🇪🤍🇩🇪🤍🇸🇪🤍
ОтветитьNew Subscriber, Lady Colin Campbell said this about “The French women”, that when she lived in France, the women all tied their Scarves the SAME way!
Almost like a Uniform!
Would you say this is true?!
Happy Christmas Eve! 🎄🙏🏻
Honestly i WISH my country was boring, instead we have constant instability and stress. I should go to sweden
ОтветитьI can't tolerate polar night. I have to take Zoloft and Prozac if I travel to a state near Canada in winter to control it. Basically my body doesn't make enough serotonin and if I do not take the antidepressants my biological clock will be screwed up beyond repair.
Ответитьwish I was living in Sweden 😇 they are magical..they make it possible to decorate your house or look stylish with little money , with brands like H&M and Ikea..
Ответить
