Panasonic S5ii | Cinematic S5ii Footage Test

Where is the "cinematic footage"?

I see footage form the s5ii and x and all the footage I see looks like iPhone quality footage. It does not feel cinematic at all. Feels like cell phone footage shot at 30fps. Not a fan.

How is it for travel? I'm looking to pick this up for travel vlogging and cinematography. What lense would you suggest works well and is the most versatile if you could only bring one?

Currently use an original S5, and I'm so tempted to switch to the S5 ii, but I feel like waiting for the S5 IIX is probably the better call now that it's only two months away.

Bro you have to enlighten you settings for the S5 II, I’ve watched many videos and still looking but I’ve followed you through your GH5 days because your image personally looks better.

Ryan - I shoot social media content. If your using eye auto focus then need to focus on an object very fast, can you just tap the screen and itll stick to the object. Ive heard the S5II struggles with this. I ask because thats generally my work experience, one minute I will be filming/photographing a person then quickly I'll need to film/photograph a product or object

This video makes the GH line look as if it's not worth the investment. Here are questions: Have you tried your gh6 af in comparison to this one? I find it strange that for someone who never used af to make movies, is all of a sudden so converted (i don't find it impossible, just strange), case example: Hollywood movie makers don't even use af, even though they have the cams that do excellent af. Another point is that I believe this machine "could" be better than the Sony FX3, what is your take on that?

I have gh5 with 15mm f1.7 and this camera is Def next on my list

So Ryan you are officially not using the GH5 or GH6 any longer? The only reason I purchased the GH5 is because I found your(and bought your Masterclass) channel, set my GH5 up to your recommendations and have been using it for the last 6 months... just got my S5ii three weeks ago because I badly needed the better AF(and was not heavily invested in M43 glass) now I am glad to see you using it as well and can't wait to see what your future videos are going to be using it. Thanks!

Looks like a fantastic camera Ryan. How does it perform in low light situations? Seeing as it's a full frame will it accept the Sigma 18-35?

I hate to say this, but this footage from the S5II just looks better, more appealing, vivid, brighter, etc than the GH5 and GH6 footage. 😮
