Hey! What about when hair like beard , is not staying in place and following the face when animation is playing ? binding asset dosent work, it wont apply.

I was experiencing an issue that when resurecting my metahuman after death, his body and head disappeared (and no, its not zombie game).
These changes fixed it, so thanks a lot!

this happens in 5.2 too, include fixes it but they are still disappearing at a bit longer distance :( this drives me crazy

Well i have UNREAL 5.1.0 but i had this issue, i've done your tutorial and it kind of work but when i move the character the hair are disapearing from time to time. Maybe it is because i'm using brenda and it still under devellopment

How to use dynamic LOD? I want to change distance of camera when the highest LOD goes in. For example i want high detail when player got camera close to character and low detail when the camera is far enough to not notice the diffrence

5.0.3 ... So when i use a whole metahuman, the LOD Sync works for me and set it to 1 (i think) solved the problem - no matter how far...
But... usually i only use the head on custom body, and in this case the LOD Sync doesn't work anymore, force LOD doesn't work, and when i delete every "missing" LOD, the map won't open again and got instant crashes.

Any advise to get the groom fixed for heads only?

This works except when it creates the new BP character in the sequencer, the sequencer version of the character doesnt have hair? For some reason, it wont save any of the LOD settings when I try to change them on the BP character inside sequencer. Just don't get it.

Now if only someone could find a way to fix real time reflections for hair (Metahuman's reflection in the mirror). It's been driving me crazy for 3 weeks now on ue4 and ue5. It will show up under certain constraints, but will either disappear if you're 3 meters away from a reflective surface, or when you're too close.

Did you also find a fix for the MassCrowd in the city sample? I'm the one losing my hair over it hahah.. Since the metahumans are generated, it doesn't fix all the clothes and hair disappearing when the camera is far when I change the LOD sync to 1 in the BP_CrowdCharacter

Sadly didn't work for me. The hair of my Metahuman is only not visible to the camera. The goal of my project is just to export cinematic still shots. But whenever I render a still image the Metahuman is rendered bald. In the viewport I can see the hair. But in the camera view window, when I select the camera, the hair is gone too. And as I said, in the render it's gone too.

Have any idea what the problem might be?

I use UE 5.0.2

The hair of my metahuman continue disappearing on ue 5.0.1 production version. But the hair disappeare only when my character crouching and i move camera in certain position.

Yeah well it says in the " metahuman creator " itself ,
Before you export that its only " lod 0 - 1 " so no hair cards at distance ..
— Just set it to desired lod and done !

I'm having an issue where pretty much all my beard is just flashing black light around my metahumans face and hair is low quality on head. Anyone know how to fix or what's going on? I have alot of emissive light going on could it be from that? Character looks okay in blueprint viewport but not in editor.

Unrelated, but any chance you would know how to record the background traffic/crowd from the city sample into sequencer? Want to animate a cinematic but take recorder has been a pain with this... the 4 minute 54 second mark of the State of Unreal Video when they are describing the Matrix Cinematic is what I am trying to do! I experienced this issue for a while and it was driving me crazy. What I deduced was happening was when using animations where the character moved far from its root, such as character mocap for a whole scene, the hair would start to get glitch and disappear at certain spots in the animation, or depending on how I was looking at the metahuman through the viewport. The way I figured out how to fix this was to simply delete and re add the groom in the blueprint under the hierarchy.
